If you follow me on Snapchat (Lauren_smith6) or on Instagram (@lifetolauren), then you know that my favorite boutique in Houston, is in fact, BAANOU, located in the River Oaks District. I love it for many reasons. For one, because they always have the cutest clothing from an array of different price points. Like, if I have an event coming up, I always go to BAANOU first, no matter what. But the reason I always return, is because the owner Maryam goes out of her way to make her customers feel at home in her boutique. Which is how you should feel every time you walk into a store!
So when I started looking for engagement party outfits, I immediately went to BAANOU. Maryam brought me everything white in the store and the moment I tried on this two piece set, I knew it was coming home with me. Even though it wasn’t exactly what I went in for, it stole my heart. The designer of this piece, is Aries Milan of Kate Kills Pretty. You know, in honor of Kate Moss, so duh know her designs have to be killer.
After I bought my white two piece set, I started seeing more and more of her pieces in BAANOU. So when Maryam told me Aries was coming into town, for her Kate Kills trunk show at BAANOU, I was so excited to meet her.
Aries is literally the sweetest person ever, and it was so cool hearing how much work and thought goes into each and every piece. I loved hearing how particular she was on choosing the material of her clothing, which is very high quality, because she wants it to be the best! While I was there, I tried on all of her pieces and had a little fashion show in BAANOE while sipping champs – lol, it was fun!

After the trunk show, I came home with the floral skirt above, and I am in L-O-V-E ya’ll. I’m thinking next is definitely going to be the black romper though.
