Hi guys! Happy Monday!

How was everyone’s weekend? As I told you guys in Friday’s post, over the weekend, we went to our sweet friends Wedding. Which, btw was so beautiful and so fun. The wedding was Black Tie Optional and as soon as I saw the words black tie, I immediately knew that I would be wearing a long a dress.

I mean, who doesn’t love a good excuse to dress up?

The part I didn’t think about, was the part where I had to get a long dress. Like, I knew I wanted to wear a really beautiful long dress, but I wasn’t going to drop $500 on a gown I would only wear once. That’s when Rent the Runway came to mind. If you guys haven’t heard of Rent the Runway (even though I am sure most of you have!) then you are in for a treat. Rent the Runway is an online site that lets you borrow high priced, designer gowns for an incredible price.

To insure the dress fits, every dress has reviews ( & pictures!) from other women who describe exactly how the dress fit them, as well as what size they ordered. You also get to order two different sizes to ensure the perfect fit!

After browsing through all of their dresses, it was kind of a no brainer for me as to which one I would pick. Elizabeth and James is without a doubt one of my favorite designers. Her dresses, I swear are designed to perfectly fit everyone. Since I was ordering online, I wanted to wear a designer I knew well and after seeing this dress, I knew my search was over.

When starting my search for a dress, there were a  few criteria it needed to meet.

(1) It needed to be a  dark color. Example: Black, Dark Blue or Jewel Toned

(2) Have a High Neck, be a Long Sleeve or Strapless

(3) Be Long or High-Low Gown

(4) I didn’t want it to be too dramatic

(5) Comfortable enough to dance in

This dress was absolutely perfect for it! It was elegant and it made me feel incredibly beautiful. I’m just so glad that I rented one, instead of buying a dress because the truth is, I probably would only wear it one time.

If you guys have any events coming up, but are not wanting to buy a dress for it, then I highly recommend Rent the Runway! If you have anymore questions concerning them, just let me know! Also, I went ahead and tagged a few more of my other favorite dresses below.

xo,

Lauren
