Good Morningggggg!

How was everyone’s weekend?? Our first real weekend home all summer long was so nice and so much fun. Friday night, my best friend came into town and we went to El Tiempo because it is our tradition for Friday nights. Saturday – I woke up, went to a kick boxing class at Equinox, went to lunch with Colton at Bebida’s ( a lot of you all asked me where we were on Snapchat! ) then went to our friends surprise Birthday party before walking White Linen Night! It was a crazy Saturday! Sunday, we were moving pretty slow and binge watched Girl Boss until about noon before we started to make some moves. We ended up running lots of errands, I shot my first video for you guys (yay!!) and started stuffing invitations for the wedding!

It was all around a really good weekend in my book 🙂

Even though I will be showing all of the tidbits from our San Fran / Napa Trip this week, I wanted to go ahead and share with you all this outfit ahead of time. A lot of you have sent me messages saying you all had upcoming trips to the valley so I thought it seemed appropriate! When going to the valley, there are always two things you will find in my bag. At least one romper/jumper (check out last weeks post) and at least one midi skirt or maxi dress. These are definitely my favorite outfits to wear in the valley because they are classy – yet comfortable. Which is exactly what I love about Napa in the first place. Everything is so nice and so beautiful, yet extremely relaxed. Which makes sense because they are on wine-time (lol).

When I started planning my outfits for the trip, I ordered a few things just in time from Revolve. They have two day shipping so I wasn’t worried about getting items to me in time. Well…..the day before we left…. my package said it had been delievered and after lots of going back and fourth with our concierge and phone calls with UPS, we figured out it was delivered all right. It was delivered in D.C.! I quickly went into panic mode but since I didn’t have time to have a melt down (we literally had to leave for our fight at 5:00 a.m), I went to my closet to put something I already had together.  I actually wore this skirt during our first trip out there last September and knew that I could pair it with my new favorite yellow top to really change it up and make the outfit pop!

& personally, I am very happy with how it turned out!

In the end, I learned two things. One – you cannot procrastinate and rely on two day shipping and Two: it’s not the worst thing in the world to have to get creative in your closet. You can’t have a brand new outfit for everything.

***Insert my mom eye rolling here lol***

Alright, I hope you all have a great Monday and a great rest of your week! I leave for my Bachelorette this weekend so I will most likely only be posting 4x this week!

xo,

Lauren
