Today, Life to Lauren turns 1-years-old.
One year, I mean…my goodness. All I can say is, wow! Honestly, sitting down to write this post made me speechless. I wasn’t sure how to go about it or what I wanted to say. I have been doing this blog, every single day for the past year. That one year ago, Colton told me to stop talking about starting a blog, and to actually do it.
Honestly, this first year flew by. It doesn’t even feel like a year has past! But it’s crazy to think, that for one year, my life has been an open book for you all. (You can check out my first post, here!) It’s crazy how much it has grown, how much it has changed and the unbelievable support I have had from everyone. I mean, everyone has been so encouraging.
This blog started at a time when I needed something. I needed something to fill the void in my life. Something that I could put my all into & I couldn’t imagine my life without it! Even though I have seen a lot of growth in my first year of blogging, I think that it helped me to grow as a person. It made me step out of my comfort zone and take a chance.
When I first started Life to Lauren, I literally had no idea what I was doing. To be honest, I still don’t -lol but I am learning everyday! I had no idea how much work it was going to be. Like, I never would have thought I would care about the weather so much (#photoshootproblems), that I would have to strategize social media, how unglamorous blogging can really be, how stressful it is, how many hours it would really take, and the amount of time you actually have to put into it.
Yet, I love every minute of it.
Not to be super corny but, but I couldn’t write this post without thanking the people who have made this blog even the least bit possible. Like Colton, who pressured me to start it & takes all of my photos. Who gets up early Sunday mornings and rushes home after work to be my photographer. Who encourages me to keep going when I am down and is my constant support. I’m so lucky to have him. My Dad, who continues to support me and help me even though we both know it interferes with my actual work. My mom, who is my number one fan and who wakes up to read my posts first thing in the morning to catch any small error I may have. My friends who “like” and “share” literally everything. Then also the amazing bloggers I have met along the way, that have answered all of my questions, who have been so sweet to me & have helped to make my blog grow.
Last but not clearly not least, thank you to all of my readers. Life to Lauren would not be possible without your love & support! I’m just so grateful.
So Happy Birthday Life to Lauren, I am so excited to see where its future takes me!
xo,
Lauren
