It’s Friday ya’ll!!

Thank freaking goodness too, because this has been the longest, most stressful week ever.

While I am secretly over here, waiting for fall, it’s still a million degrees here in Houston. So this weekend, you can catch me patiently waiting for fall, by the pool, with this sexy margarita in hand.

Did I also mention it’s skinny and kind of good for you??

This is because its main ingredient is watermelon. &&& watermelon is the shit ya’ll.

Here’s why

Watermelon is made up of 92% water and is soaked with tons of nutrients like vitamins A, B6 and C, lots of lycopene, antioxidants and amino acids. Plus it’s super detoxifying. According to this source, it’s also both a fruit AND vegetable.

I’m sold

Also, try and get a high quality tequila. The higher the quality, the less of a chance for a hangover. Tequila also aids in digestion, plus a bunch of other fantastic facts. I’m serious, just ask Forbes.

It also doesn’t hurt that this drink is ridiculously pretty too.

So here’s the deets ( you know… details?)

Serves: 4

Ingredients

1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
3 /4 cup white tequila
3 cups Watermelon juice
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/3 cup triple sec

then chili powder for garnish

Directions

  1. Place tequila and about 4 slices of jalapeno in a glass measuring cup and place in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours depending on how spicy your jalapenos are and how spicy you want the tequila to be.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the 3 cups watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice, & Triple Sec.
Place chili powder mixed in on a plate. Coat rims of 4 glasses with lime juice and chili  powder.
  3. Fill the glasses with ice and pour Margaritas into glasses. Garnish with lime slices and jalapeno slices if desired.

Ta Da! That’s it!

Have a great great weekend you guys!

xo,

Lauren
