It’s NYE in a few days!!
Aka-the evening we decide to dress head to toe in sequins while sipping champagne.
(Note** I love the champagne part)
But the sequins… whyyy do we do this? Why do we put ourselves through the torture?? I’ll be honest, I’m 100% guilty of the too tight, too short, all sequined dress. As well as the all sequined pants. But as of this year, enough is enough.
I mean, have you actually tried dancing in sequins? It’s awful.
Like the most uncomfortable thing ever.
Because I know for a fact that deep down inside, your whole body is being scratched to your core, and your outfit is getting caught on everything. Because I’ve been there.
And how heavy is your outfit? You must be burning triple the amount of calories lugging that thing around all night.
So this year, I refuse. I, Lauren Smith, am saying no to sequins.
Instead, I will be sticking to one these three looks below.
Well actually, I may be going to the lake and not getting dressed up at all. But I am keeping my options open.

The Red Dress
I mean, Hello Vixen. I 100% believe that red is the sexiest thing you could wear. So stand out in red this year and don’t get lost in the crowd!:)
Metallic Dress
If you love the glam of sequins, try metallic instead! I opted for metallic last year and it was the best decision. I felt the glam, without the itch.
Darn Sexy Black
Go in your closet, and put on the one dress that makes you feel beautiful. For me, it’s this Little Black Dress. This exact dress is sold out, but here is its twin of the same designer.
Ultimately, wear something that you feel like a Rockstar in. If that sequins, so be it. To each his own. Ring in the New Year in your best feeling outfit & enter into 2016 with confidence blowing out your ears.
