When I was a child, there were always a few pieces in my mothers closet that stood out to me. For example, she used to have this cartoon sweatshirt from the 80’s, that I’ll never forget because she wore it all the time. She also used to wear this beautiful green emerald ring that I was mesmerized by, and I’ll never forget that she had a polka dot dress that I loved.
I can’t remember the exact details of this dress (because I was so young), but I’m guessing it had some sort of puffy shoulders and probably had an awkward silhouette because #the90s – lol.
None-the-less, I will never forget get my moms polka dot dress.
So when I went into Baanou in the ROD a few weeks ago, right away, I gravitated towards this dress. Even though it immediately reminded me of my moms dress, I was still reluctant to buy it….Well after two weeks, I could not get this dress out of my head! So of course, I ran back to Baanou with my fingers crossed that it was still there – and it was!!
As soon as I put it on, I fell in love with it. It’s silly to say that I fell in love with a dress, but when a dress makes you feel that good, it’s love.
I’m not in any place in my life to be having children lol, but I still can’t help but wonder which pieces in my closet will stand out to my kids, even when they’re grown.
It literally hurts my heart to tell you guys this, but this dress sold out this morning…but below I linked a bunch of other options from the designer. As soon as it comes back in stock I’ll let you guys know!
Do you guys have any pieces from your mom’s closet that you’ll remember forever?!

Lauren
