Oh September, you flew by. I feel like I catch myself saying that a lot lately though.
As most of you know, we started out the month of September spending Labor Day in Napa. To say we fell in love with it there would be the understatement of the century!
You can check out our whole trip, here.

As soon as we got back, I became completely over loaded with work, but in a good way! I was crazy inspired on content for you guys, I was ready to start wedding planning, and business was really picking up at my day job.

If you follow me on snapchat (Lauren_smith6) then you have most likely seen my snaps of walking Bentley in the mornings. I made it my mission in September to really start getting up 20 minutes earlier everyday to walk with him. It has not only been a great way for me to start my morning, but I know he really enjoys it as well!

That next weekend, we headed up to Plano for a wedding. We stayed at the Marriott at the Legacy Town Center and it could not have been more perfect!
Colton was in the wedding and he had groomsmen duties all day, so I was really fortunate for the area we were staying. It had so many shops & restaurants. I was able to walk to a cycling class, shop all day with my little Gabby, and get my nails done at the coolest/chicest salon called MiniLuxe (seriously obsessed!).
Like, can I move there? I would love to walk to shops and restaurants like that everyday.

The wedding was a dream! I wore this dress from this post and it was perfecttttt!
Like, #twirlworthy on point. The most fun dress to dance in ever. You can check out the post on it here!
Also, this was the first time I ever saw Colton in a tuxedo, and me-owww!

That next week was Colton’s Birthday! He turned 25 and I think was kind of bummed that it was on a Tuesday, so I really wanted to make it special.
Plus, I like his b-day more than my own. Lucky him lol.
He took the the day off and went golfing with my dad. Afterwards I took him to lunch and started my day of surprises. Which is basically me giving him surprise gifts throughout the day.
I even filled our whole bedroom with 26 balloons! (25 years + 1 to grow on 🙂 )
So fun, right!?
That night, we went to Papas Steak House (his favorite) with both of our families then had everyone over afterwards for cupcakes and presents. Colton’s favorite dessert is the Red Velvet Cupcakes from Crave so as much as I wanted to make him a cake, he got his cupcakes!

That next week was packed once again. On top of a pretty packed work, we had Hannah all week, a double date with friends from Baylor, a few events, and lots of lots work.
Swear I am not complaining – we just haven’t stopped!
That next weekend was my favorite! We went to Baylor for the fb game and all the feels were super real.
One thing that I love about Waco and Baylor, is the smell. Is that weird? Idk but it definitely has a smell. Like is smells like home I guess you could say.
Any who,we tailgated, watched the bears win, went to our favorite pizza place and favorite college bar.

Now here we are, the last week of September and it’s like seriously where did the time go?!
Last night was my Mom’s bday, and we went to the sweetest dinner for her.
This weekend is Hannah’s first Homecoming, so we will be kicking off October with a full day of pampering her. Literally I think I am more excited than she is.
Like how cute is that ^^^
I already told her that I am going to her “boy friends” to take pictures of the two of them all dressed up and I am currently thinking of ways to embarrass her.
I’m taking suggestions.
Any who, October, I am ready for you!
Just please bring Houston some cooler weather 🙂
xo,
Lauren
