24 Days of Showing Gratitude This November

V Papperi

As you guys read yesterday, I am really trying to make the effort, to go out of my way, to show gratitude this November. We all seriously have SO MUCH to be thankful for and this is the perfect time to show it and really acknowledge the blessings we all have in our lives, big and small. I understand that if you follow these 24 Days of Gratitude, you’ll be starting one day late, but hey, it’s never too late to write down yesterday’s blessing.

I really tried to make this list as easy as possible for you all and made them realistic enough that you can easily fit them in your day.

So lets start, shall we??

24 Days of Gratitude 2016

November 1: Start at gratitude journal and try to write at least three things you are thankful for each day.

November 2: Give a genuine compliment to a stranger.

November 3: Go for a walk outside and admire your surroundings. Even if it is only 10 minutes. Be thankful for the life you live.

November 4: Hold the door open every chance you get.

November 5: Surprise a friend or family member with a cup of coffee.

November 6: Donate old or extra clothes // toys to a homeless shelter.

November 7: It’s Monday morning, smile and say hello to a stranger

November 8: Do something unexpected for someone you love. Whether it be sending a sweet note, making dinner for them or bringing home flowers. Just a small gesture to show your appreciation for them.

November 9: If you happen to go to the grocery store and the credit card machine asks you to make a donation, try and make a donation, even if it is only $1.

November 10: Get dinner or grab a drink with someone you haven’t seen in a while.

November 11: Leave a bigger tip than you normally would. Even if it is only an extra $2.

November 12:  Do something active outside. Whether it be a light walk, throwing the ball for your dog, or just relaxing at the park.

November 13: Clean out your pantry by donating canned goods to a local food pantry.

November 14: Buy a cup of coffee for the person behind you in Starbucks.

November 15: Pack an extra lunch to give to someone less fortunate.

November 16: Don’t text, call a friend to catch up.

November 17: Try & do your best to smile all day long. Smiles are extremely contagious.

November 18: Leave an encouraging spontaneous sticky note in a random spot for someone to find.

November 19: Make breakfast for your roommates or your significant other.

November 20: Call your parents &/or guardians and let them know how thankful you are for them.

November 21: Leave a note for a roommate, significant other or child wishing them a great day.

November 22: Give someone who needs it a hug.

November 23: Give a friend, family member or significant other a compliment that you know will make their day.

November 24: Offer to help cook AND clean Thanksgiving Dinner. Reread your blessings from the month.
