Almost one week until Thanksgiving guys! My goodness, the Holidays have really come fast this year.I’m not complaining though, because I love everything about the Holiday’s, especially Thanksgiving.
Christmas can just get a little hectic, ya know? Plus, there is way more stress during Christmas time. Thanksgiving on the other hand, way more laid back.
The problem with Thanksgiving in Texas, is that you never know if we’re going to have nice fall weather, or if it is going to be almost 90 degrees. Last year, we were closer to the 90 degree mark. It was the worst.
When I received this dress last week, I immediately knew I would be wearing it on Thanksgiving. I love the color, because burgundy is the color of the season. I love the fact that it is flow-y (super important for Thanksgiving!), light weight, and the fact that it is so easy to dress up or down. It’s also incredibly soft! I paired this dress with these lace up heels to make me feel taller and leaner, then added this scarf, just in case we have cooler weather. If not, no worries – I’ll just take it off!
The other great thing about this dress is that it is only $14.99 so #winning lol. I’m not going to lie, when I pulled this dress out of the bag, I wasn’t “Oh my god” impressed. Then when I went to put it on, I was more than presently surprised. Like it literally fit perfectly and like I said before, is so soft.
Last year, I shared with you guys this post on my tips for dressing for Thanksgiving. I’ve applied all of my same rules to this year, except I mixed it up a bit!
A key thing to remember, is that you don’t have to dress frumpy to dress comfortably.
What do you guys like to wear on Thanksgiving?
xo,
Lauren
