As of yesterday, Colton and I have finally signed our new lease and will be moving the last weekend of April. We have been searching for a new place for a long time, and while my heart was truly set on moving into some type of townhouse or home, we opted to wait a year and move into a two bedroom apartment for the time being instead.

If you have been following me for awhile, then you know that Colton moved into my very-girly one bedroom apartment a little over a year in a half ago. Side note: our apartment is THE best floorpan for a couple living together. Think his//her closets & sinks, large bathroom and dining room, etc. If you’re in Houston and want more info, email me!

Any who, so yeah, for the past year in a half, Colton has been living in my oh so pink home. I do have to say though, Colton has been quite the trooper and hasn’t complained once about the decor. I think it bothers me more than it does him. I have just felt bad because I know we need a space that is “ours” and not just one that he moved into. I’ve put off redecorating because I knew we were going to eventually move and would redecorate then. So here we are! We are getting married and making our new place “ours”. With about a month until we move, I have been ordering furniture, deciding what we are going to sell, what we are going to keep and what we are going to paint. So far, I am loving all things white, navy blue and gold with hints of greenery! I’m trying my hardest to stay away from anything pink-lol! I love this color scheme because I know it is one that will easily transfer into a house…once we move into one ;). I also love that it’s more gender neutral and from my perspective, very sophisticated.

Don’t cha think?

My husband and I are newlyweds in Houston and we just went through a move so I can relate! Pro tip: Facebook Marketplace has been an absolute godsend for getting rid of things that just don’t work in our new place. Also, I have basically been living at Marshall’s and AtHome 🙂
