Happy Happy Friday!
I know my posts have been really long this week, so I am trying to keep today short and sweet! We shot this look before heading out of Waco a few weekends ago and loved the simplicity of this look and how casual it was. You can’t always be in heels and dressed to the nines but outfits like this one give you the best of both worlds. This Free People top is from one of the looks I wore in our engagement photos and right after I ordered it, like two days later, it was sold out. Luckily for you guys though, Nordstrom’s has restocked it in all sizes and more colors!! I love it so much I think I may pick up at least one more.
A few things!
Everlasting Joy
The necklace I am wearing is by Everlasting Joy and I picked it up while I was in Waco. I was browsing through Roots (I mentioned Roots in yesterday’s post) and this necklace immediately caught my eye. After purchasing it, I decided to look up who the designer was (because it was so cute!) and saw that it was actually made by one of my sorority sisters and that Everlasting Joy is her company!
I wanted to share Everlasting Joy with you guys, not only because her jewelry is super cute (clearly!) but because I love the movement & cause behind it. Kaylee is a big advocate for human trafficking and slavery so a portion of all of her sales go straight to the cause. I thought that was pretty cool, so I just thought I would share that with you all!
Pops of Pink
Last year, I think I owned less than 5 pink pieces in my closet. I have always been super girly, but I just never bought a lot of pink. This year though? I literally can’t stop buying pink! If you are looking to brighten up your every day wardrobe, try adding little pops of pink into it! A little goes along way 🙂
Packing
This is our last weekend in our apartment, which means a lot of the weekend will be spent packing, cleaning (or clearing) out closets/cabinets, deciding what we are going to sell and figuring out what we are going to keep. Moving out is a very bitter sweet thing for me. This has been my home for almost three years and has been the best little apartment for us. It is my first apartment I got and paid for on my own. It’s the apartment where Colton and I learned to live together and is where we have really started our lives together. The good news is that I am really excited for this move, because it is a small, but good one! I’m excited to have more space but I am kind of relieved that we are not moving into a house like we originally planned because we are just not ready for that.
Anyways! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
xo,
Lauren
