Good Morning, Good Morning. Happy Monday! I hope your morning is off to an easy start.
This whole past weekend was spent preparing for our big move this Friday. From furniture shopping, to cleaning out every closet, we started to tackle it all. As we start getting closer and closer to the move, I can’t help but think about all of the changes that will soon follow. Which honestly terrifies me, because change in general terrifies me.
When I was around 5 years old, my Dad sold his suburban and I sat in the very back seat of the car crying because I was not ready for him to get rid of it. When I drove away from my childhood home, before heading off to college, I cried the whole way down my street. And when I graduated from Baylor and was forced to move out of my college house, I cried the entire time we packed.
Change and I are not friends lol.
Although, I think when I cry, it’s not because I am so sad to be doing what I am doing next. I think its more tears of appreciating the past and being scared of the unknown future.
This particular change is different though and while I am terrified of it, I’m also so excited about it.
I know that we are not exactly doing a “big change”, like moving into a house, moving across the state or the country, but it is still a change for us. We are moving into our new home. The apartment we live in now, no matter what we say, is still super mine. It has all of my furniture // decor, I picked it out and etc. But our new place is ours. This is the first “change” of the many to follow in the next six months and for the first time ever, I don’t think I am going to cry. I mean, I say that now (lol), but I really don’t think I will because my excitement out weighs my fear.
So in preparation for the move, expect a lot of apartment talk this week and Colton will be making an appearance! There will also be a lot of fitness and health talk as well so be ready for that 🙂
This MINKPINK dress that I am showing you all today is the dress that I wore to a recent rehearsal dinner! I mentioned it in this post, and it is still one of my favorite dresses for the season! Since the rehearsal dinner, I have worn it to church, to work, to brunch and to dinner. It has become a new favorite in my closet! Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it is under $100 either!
Also, if you guys are looking into purchasing any designer shoes, I can’t tell you enough how much I love my Jimmy Choo’s. When I first graduated, I wanted a pair of designer shoes and I bought Loubitins. Big Mistake. While I love them, they are not a realistic shoe and are so uncomfortable. My Jimmy’s though are the most comfortable shoe I own. I cannot say enough good things about them!
Alrighty, I am off! As I am writing this, Colton and I are watching the Big Bang Theory and I have a DIY project calling my name.
xo,
Lauren
