If you’re a fellow #BBGGIRL, then you know that Kayla released the mother of all updates for her SWEAT App last week.
For anyone who doesn’t know who Kayla is, you can read all about her program here! To give you a little insight though, she is basically a fitness goddess who has taken social media by storm through her bikini body programs and amazing transformation stories.
I’ve been doing her program off and on for a little over two years now and have become obsessed with it.
Like my whole week would feel totally off I skipped the program. It has definitely become a huge part of my fitness routine.
Anyways, last week Kayla did a major update for her app and I am completely in love with it.
Now, along with the three (3) weekly resistance training workouts that you would find in her original BBG ebook, she now offers three new types of fitness categories with their own three types of resistance training.
- Self Post-Pregnancy Training created by trainer and BBG girl, Kelsey Wells. This workout, like it says in its name, is perfect for that new mom trying to get back in shape. Kelsey gained attention through her own fitness story of losing her post baby weight and getting in killer shape as a mom using Kayla’s program. Now – she is working side by side with Kayla sharing the best resistance training exercises for post pregnancy.
- BBG Stronger by Kayla herself. These resistant training workouts are a weight lifters dream. It you already do weights and have been hesitant to try Kayla’s program, then you would love this new addition. It incorporates more of your average weight lifting exercises, has less reps and seems to not be as high intensity as her original resistance training methods. Coming from someone who has been doing her program for years, I loved this new change and the new exercises. It is the perfect mix between weightlifting and resistance training.
- Body and Mind with Sjana Elise. Sjana is a famous Yogi Instructor known for promoting health & happiness. This section, just like the rest, has three resistance training workouts but are instead dedicated to yoga. Which I think is really cool! Perfect for rest days and for getting into a routine of doing yoga on a more regular basis. I’m normally known to skip my stretching days, but this new addition is helping me keep on track!
This is what the new home page looks like!
So if you want to do Kayla’s normal resistance program, you would click the pink resistance training section at the top. If you wanted to do BBG Stronger, you would click that one. If you wanted to do yoga, you’d click that one and so on and so on.
In the end, what I think I love most about this update is that there is a workout for everyone. Kayla saw a problem in her original program, in that every women is different and everyone enjoys different types of workouts. She found a way to make her program doable for everyone.
Now really quick, before I say good bye, I want to talk about my outfit in today’s post. It is from J. Crews new sport collection and it might be the most comfortable outfit I have ever owned in my entire life. The top even has a built in sports bra, which I normally hate, but I love in this one. It’s just so soft and hugs just enough. I’m not sure if I would suggest this particular outfit for running or vigorous resistance training, but it would be perfect for yoga or pilates!
xo,
Lauren
