Happy Friday Babes!
As you guys know, last week, my mom and I spent a few days in the Valley to get a little bit of wedding planning done. It was her first time there, so I really wanted to make it special for her. We both sipped (a lot) of wine, made some major wedding decisions, took her to all of my favorite places and explored a ton of knew ones.

My mom was already in California for my cousins college graduation, so the timing between the two of us worked out perfectly. On Mother’s Day, I flew into Oakland, caught an Uber to the Valley (which was so easy by the way) and took her to one of my favorite restaurants, Archetype. I’m not going to lie, the service can be shaky there, but I love the sunroom and the food there is delicious.
As you guys saw in last Monday’s post, I took her to Frogs Leap Winery after lunch because it is hands down my favorite winery. There is just something so relaxing about it. You literally just sip and stroll through the gardens as you please or you can relax and take a seat in one of their many rocking chairs. My mom is a huge gardener, so I knew she would fall in love with the gardens they have on the property.

For this trip, we stayed at The Brannon Cottage Inn and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this sweet little Inn. Not only was it incredibly charming and up to date, but the two ladies who run the Inn were just over the top sweet. Every morning they would have coffee ready for us, fresh fruit and pastries.
They have multiple, adorable places to sit back and have a glass of wine and I loved the fact that there were only a few rooms .It really made the Inn feel like home. If you are looking for a place to stay, we both highly recommend! It was the perfect place for us this trip.

The next day, we started the day with a early morning walk before heading to meet with my wedding planner and a few florists. It was a full day of wedding planning and afterwards we were starving, so I took her to Farmstead, which is another favorite! The weather was absolutely beautiful so we sat outside and enjoyed the afternoon. My mom was even feeling a little adventurous and had this grapefruit and tequila drink that was absolutely delicious!
That afternoon we spent our time visiting more vendors, checking out hotels for guest and having a few glasses of wine on a patio.
Btw – the roses right now in Napa are GORGEOUS and blooming. We couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful they were.

The next day, it was super over cast and the temperatures majorly dropped. We relaxed at the Inn and then got ready to meet my planner for our meetings for the day! We met with more florists, picked linens, china and all of the fun stuff! The vendors she took me to had the most beautiful display rooms. I was in heaven!
After our meetings, we were on our way back to the Inn when we passed the most beautiful winery. We had actually driven past it, I swear over 15 times during our trip and every single time we passed it, we would say how beautiful it was but never stopped. So after pointing it out, yet again, I made a u-tern and we went to check it out. The winery actually ended up being Berringer and their grounds were so incredibly beautiful. Despite being how chilly it was, we grabbed a glass of wine and a cheese board and sat on their gorgeous historic porch for the remainder of the afternoon.
That night, we had dinner at Solbar in Calistoga! We sat outside by the fire, they brought us blankets and it was the perfect ending to our trip!
Have a great & safe Memorial Day weekend loves!

Lauren
