Tuesday was the official first day of summer, even though I personally feel like it has been here for over a month!
Here in Houston, it’s hotter than hot and there is not doubt about it, that summer has definitely arrived. We actually had an abnormally long spring, which do not get me wrong, was amazing! We just knew it was too good to be true and that the heat would be here before we knew it.
What I Am Looking Forward Too This Summer
Fourth of July: As you guys read in this post, the Fourth of July is my absolute most favorite holiday! I’m not sure what we are doing yet, but we will either be at our friends lake house or at my mothers annual Fourth of July party. Either way, I know whichever one we end up choosing will be a blast!
My 2nd Year Bloggaversary: Aka – LifetoLauren’s second birthday! The blogaaversary is in July and I can’t believe I’ve had my little space on the internet for two years.
A Wedding In St. Louis: The weekend after the Fourth of July, two of our best friends are getting married in St. Louis and we couldn’t be more excited about this wedding. We absolutely adore this couple and cannot wait for their big day. Colton is a groomsman, his whole family will be there, my Dad and sister are going to be there and I can already tell it’s going to be a really great weekend! Plus, I have never been to St. Louis so I am excited to see it!
Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale: I know this sounds silly, but I look forward to this sale all year long. It’s by-far the best sale of the entire year. Items go on sale, that never go on sale, along with all new fall items. It’s ah-maz-ing. For card holders, the sale starts July 13 and then opens up to the public on July 20th! If you’re not a card holder – you can sign up here! I love my card because it’s linked directly to my checking account and I earn dollar notes back on whatever I spend.
Wedding Tasting: The end of July, myself, my Dad and Colton are heading to San Fran and Napa for our last trip before the wedding. We will be doing all of our tasting, finalizing a few things with vendors and doing my hair trial! I seriously cannot wait. We’re getting so close and it is all so surreal.
My Bachelorette Party: My Bachelorette Party is booked for the beginning of August and I can’t believe that it is so close and that I am actually going to be on my bachelorette party. Most of the girls are going to be there and I cannot wait to have that alone time with my closest friends and to celebrate that whole weekend!
About This Summertime Floral Dress
I picked up this summertime floral dress while in Arizona with Colton’s family. I walked by it while passing through and admired it but wasn’t going to buy it because your girl is trying to cut back. Well, that didn’t work out too well and after not being able to get it out of my mind for the rest of the day, I went back in for it. I bought it because I knew it would be the perfect summertime floral dress for Destin, which it was. I wore it to Colton’s Dads Birthday dinner and received a million compliments on it. The unfortunate part is that when I went to link it, I realized they were sold out in almost every size. I’ve looked everywhere for it, but so far it is sold out everywhere. Below I’ve linked a ton of similar ones though! When they get more sizes in, I will let you all know immediately!
