Happy Monday You Guys!
How was everyone’s weekend?? Ours flew by and wasn’t our typical kind of weekend but was still really great!
As you guys read on Friday, Colton and I took our “premarital classes” over the weekend and I honestly cannot say enough good things about it or explain how much we enjoyed it. From the moment we got engaged, Colton’s parents really wanted us to take a course like this. I was always open to the idea and figured we would, but I never could have believed how much Colton wanted to do it too and supportive he was through it all. I feel like at one point, before the classes, I was worried that he was going to hate that the classes were all weekend long and that he would ultimately dread it, but instead the opposite happened. He was so into it and it made the experience even that much more enjoyable. I loved knowing that he was just as into these classes as I was.
I swear I am not trying to sell you guys on a premarital course but I can honestly say that it was the best thing we ever did and if you are a newly engaged couple, I highly recommend it! Colton and I have lived together for over two years and even though we talk about everything and are pretty set in our schedule and in our ways, this class brought a lot of clarity to our relationship. I didn’t think it was possible but it brought us close together. For those of you who asked, we took our course at First Baptist Church here in Houston .We went all evening Friday, all day Saturday and was set up into six different sessions. We started off talking about the spiritual side of marriage, then went into the roles and relationships of marriage, communication, conflict, finances and then intimacy. After this weekend, I have never been more ready for October and I am so excited for this next chapter of our lives!
In other news, are you guys over this mushy gushy stuff?? Sorry -ha! It was just an emotional weekend.
Onto this outfit or in all actuality, this pink ruffle hem top because it is the real star of this show. This summer, I have been crazy drawn towards pinks which is weird because I have never really owned a lot of pink. For some reason though, this summer, I cannot get enough of it! This pink ruffle hem top especially. It is so soft and I love how casual it is yet still nice. I literally cannot stop wearing it! It’s less than $50 and I swear, I have only owned it for two weeks and have already gotten my moneys worth because it is so comfortable and goes with everything! I loved pairing it with the all white because it made the pink pop even more. Also, just a heads up, my favorite heels are on major sale too!
You’ll notice on the right hand side of my page I added two new widgets. One that has all of my favorite Nordstrom Sale purchase and the other all of my most recent home decor buys! Once everything is finally put together I will put everything on there but for right now it just doesn’t seem finished yet!
I hope you all have a great week!
xo,
Lauren
