Happy Monday Love Bugs!
I hope you all had an amazing weekend! We are home from yet, another amazing wedding weekend. The wedding was beautiful and this was the last one until ours! The past 13 months have just honestly flown by so quickly and October will be here before we know it. So crazy!
Anyways, I’m excited to partner with Express today to share with you all two different ways to style summers beloved trend: Eyelet. I love eyelet because it is the epitome of what you would call a summer pattern and can be worn so many different ways and to so many different occasions.
From work, to brunch, to your friends baby shower, if styled correctly, can take you anywhere you have to go all summer long.
One of the things I love about eyelet is that it’s lightweight, airy and can be worn for pretty much any summer occasion. But what about for work and happy hour? Sometimes Eyelet can scream summer just a little bit much.
Do you know what I mean?
For example, when I normally invasion eyelet, I think of summer dresses or off the shoulder tops to pair with denim shorts. Like that’s the classic Eyelet Look! Which is why I love this outfit so much! It’s still the beloved summer eyelet, but it has a little bit more sophistication to it. Especially since I paired it with such a beautiful cold shoulder blouse. It definitely gives it that lady like touch.
Then to give the look a little bit more of a trendy vibe, I added these super fun statement earrings! I know I have told you all this a million times, but my ears are super sensitive and heavy earrings literally kill me. But I can honestly say these are super lightweight and did not bother me at all!
Now this is your classic eyelet summer look. Just looking at it makes me want a glass of lemonade…. or a glass of white wine (lol)!
If you notice, the straps actually have little ties on them to give the dress that little extra touch! If you’re a bride-to-be and you have a shower coming up, then this eyelet dress would be absolutely perfect for it! It’s TTS but it also just fits very comfortably. I was worried about it feeling stiff but instead it was the complete opposite! So comfortable and very flattering!
Every August, here in Houston, there is a festival called White Linen Night that Colton and I never miss! It’s basically a block party where a lot of local artist and shops line up and down a street to showcase there work. There are lots of drinks flowing and everyone dresses up in all white! It is seriously so much fun and this year I pretty sure I will be wearing this eyelet number!
What do you guys think of my eyelet choices??
