July Tidbits

Holy Guacamole. Seriously, where has this year gone?

I know I always say that time is going by really fast, but I seriously cannot believe how fast this year is going by and that it’s already August. July was by far one of our busiest months and at one point I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it all. Actually, June and July both were just incredibly exhausting in general.

Lets put it this way, we were only home for two weekends in the past two months.  I’m talking five different states, two weddings and a weekend at the lake.

I have never missed sleeping in on a Sunday more in my entire life (lol). But hey, it has been an incredible summer and I wouldn’t trade the memories we have made for anything.

We started off July celebrating the Fourth of July at our friend’s lake house. We absolutely love it there and it is always such a treat when we are invited. Seriously, it is so fun! But if I am being honest, if there is anyone who loves the lake house the most, it is Bentley!

I introduced you guys to the FAB Four smoothie. If you haven’t read the post, you have to check it out! I have completely dedicated all of my meals around the FAB FOUR and have become completely obsessed.

That week, Life to Lauren also turned two! My sweet little blog has been my life for the past two years and has brought more joy to me than I could possible believe. You can read my Anniversary Post, here! Also, this dress is back in stock!!!

That next weekend we left for St. Louis to go to two of our best friends weddings! It was so fun exploring St. Louis, seeing the Arch, The Cardinals Stadium and checking off another city from my list!

I picked up this gorgeous dress for the rehearsal dinner and I seriously felt like a million bucks in it. The low back was my favorite and since St. Louis is just as hot as Houston is, it was perfect for the weather!

The show stopper dress I wore to the wedding! If you are looking for a dress to wear to a wedding this summer, run and rent this one! You can read all about it here

After introducing you all to the FAB Four Smoothie, I shared my favorite summertime FAB Four Salad. Seriously, so good and so refreshing! Recipe here.

After not being home for what seemed like a lifetime, the one weekend Colton and I were home, we had our pre-marital classes all weekend but I was still able to grab brunch with my sweet friend at State of Grace on Sunday! I received this top from Express that week and knew it would be perfect for the occasion!

That next weekend, Colton and I left for Boerne for another wedding weekend! I didn’t have time to order a dress in time for the wedding, so I went to you guys to help me pick out a dress! It was a pretty even tie, but I ended up going with the yellow because it was the most comfortable and then paired it with these super fun earrings!

That next morning, Colton and I stopped at the most darling little breakfast place in Boerne and explored the town a little bit! I bought this dress last summer and it is still one of my favorites! This dress is identical to it

Then last but certainly not least, we ended the month in one of our most favorite places in the world, Napa. I didn’t want to show too many photos of our trip since I will have a few tidbits from it up on the blog next week but still wanted to give you a little preview : )

I hope that you guys had a wonderful month!

After my Bachelorette Weekend next weekend (so excited!) I am going to have about a month in a half of down time to finally finish planning the wedding and I am so looking forward to it!

xo,

Lauren
