Happy Friday Loves!
We made it to the weekend again!
This is our first weekend like actually home in over two months and I am seriously so ecstatic. Even though it is going to be a busy one, I am still really looking forward to it. Friday my best friend comes into town from New Orleans, Saturday we have White Linen Night (praying it isn’t raining too badly!), Sunday I am meeting up with a few of my bridesmaids to make all of the final arrangements for my Bridal Shower and then that even I believe my Mom is coming over! Like I said, it is going to be a busy weekend, but I am just so happy to at least be home.
I’m not really sure if you guys like my Friday Frills series, but I really do because it’s the easiest way for me to share a lot of different information with you guys in one post as opposed to breaking it up into multiple posts or it seeming scattered brained.
Zipp Fizz
Honestly, when it comes to Zipp Fizz, I do not know where to begin describing it but let’s just start by saying it has been my saving grace for hangovers the past few months. Think of it like you would Emergencee. Emergencee is a packet filled with over 200% of your daily Vitamin C, that you put in water and drink when you are feeling under the weather. Well, Zipp Fizz is essentially the exact same thing but instead of Vitamin C, it’s Vitamin B. Vitamin B and replenishing what you have lost when drinking is vital to curing a hangover.
The first time I had Zipp Fizz, I was in New Orleans and my best friend Ann woke me up at 7:00 a.m. after a night on Bourbon Street for 7:30 a.m. spin. Feeling awful and quite possibly still feeling my vodka waters from the night before, she handed a purple drink and said trust me. Thirty minutes later, I was on my spin bike and had completely forgotten about the way I was feeling before. It was like I had never drank. Fast forward a year later, we were in New Orleans again (but for NYE this time) and our friend Laurel was the one feeling not too hot. She almost didn’t come out for NYE she was feeling so badly. Ann convinced her to take a Zipp Fizz and within 30 minutes, she was cured.
Y’all this stuff is no joke. I now live and depend off of my Zipp Fizz. I take it before I drink, I have it after I drink and I even take it in the afternoon before a workout if I am feeling sluggish and it gives me so much natural energy. I used to buy it at Costco because that’s where Ann buys it, but recently I have just been ordering it off of Amazon because #amazonprimeislife 😉
The best way to drink it is in a cold water bottle. Open a water bottle, take a few sips out of it to make the water go in, pour in the Zipp Fizz, shake and then drink the whole bottle. If you guys try it you have to tell me! I need to hear your experience with it.
Gray Cardigans
If I had to pick one type of cardigan to get for the fall season, I would get a Gray Cardigan. Seriously, they are going to be everywhere this season and gray was the number one color that kept selling out in every sweater during the Nordstrom sale. I’m telling you, it is going to be the color for the fall. Below I linked all of my favorites including the one I wore while in Napa!
Ice Roller
I know I have mentioned this before, but if you are new to LifetoLauren then I’ll fill you in on the fact that one of my favorite bloggers in the world is Lauryn Evartz of The Skinny Confidential. She is the one I got my Skinny Pink Detox Drink from! Anyways, when it comes to inflammation in your face, she swears by her ice roller and y’all, she wasn’t kidding, this thing is amazing. I don’t know about you guys, but I sleep straight on my face (horrible for my wrinkles – I know) and when I wake up in the morning, my face is so puffy from it. So to help with the puffiness – I have been rolling my face with this ice roller that I keep in the freezer and it feels SO good. It’s also great for after a night of drinking and when you’re sick.
Personal Training vs Bridal Beauty Package
Okay, with this I need yall’s help with this one. We’re a little more than two months out from the wedding and I am trying to decide if I want to invest in a personal trainer or if I want to spend the money on a bridal beauty package. The Bridal beauty would basically be facials, maybe a little botox (I have no shame) and whatever they suggest. Then the personal trainer would be a one-on-one hour session 1-2x a week. It is looking like the prices may be about the same so if you were me, what would you all choose?? I need help!
My Bachelorette Party
Next Thursday, we leave for Mexico for my Bachelorette Party and I honestly cannot flipping wait. It is going to be such a good time and I currently cannot stop buying things for it! I know I’ll end up returning whatever I don’t end up bringing but so far I have bought way more than three days worth of stuff. Below are some of the things I have gotten! What do you all think of them? yay or nay?
Have a great weekend!
xo,
Lauren
