Summertime Makeup Tutorial

primer // concealer // foundation // highlighter // eyebrow pencil

blush // lipstick // mascara // setting spray

&&& that is my summer makeup tutorial!

What did you guys think?! Don’t be too harsh though….. I’m a total newbie at this whole Youtube and editing videos thing. It seriously took me forever, but I’m happy with how it turned out and I hope you all liked the video too! As you saw in the video, this is the most simple makeup tutorial ever and as you guys know, I am not a beauty guru by any means!

Actually, now that I think of it, it is amazing I didn’t use my fingers to apply my makeup for the video in the first place! None-the-less, I still think it is a lovely simple look and these have been my go-to products all summer long. Whether I am at the beach, meeting girl friends for lunch or just running errands, I love how fresh and awake it makes me look!

It gives you that super dewy – summertime look that I absolutely love!

Any who, as promised in the video, below are all of the products I used! Everything is in order the way I used them 🙂

Summer Makeup Tutorial Products

SmashBox Photo Finish Primer

This SmashBox Primer has been my absolute favorite since college. Not only does it make my skin incredible smooth (I swear, it makes it feel like silk), but it really makes the application of my makeup go on so much better! When you think of primer, you have to think of your face as a canvas and an artist would never start a painting without priming the canvas first! You have to prep your face before you start putting your makeup on and I swear on this SmashBox one. I’ve tried others here and there but I always, always go back to it!

Tarte Double Duty Contour Concealer

I’ve been on the search for the best concealer for awhile and I think I have officially found it! Actually, my friend Laurel found it, but she convinced me to try and HOLY GUACAMOLE YA’LL. If you suffer from really dark eye circles like I do, then this Tarte Concealer will be your new best friend. It’s coverage is absolutely amazing and has been flying off the shelves.

IT Cosmetics – Your Skin But Better Foundation SPF 50

After being told by a million bloggers about this foundation, I finally gave in and have fallen completely in love with it. For date nights and shooting I used a different foundation, but other than that, I have only been using this IT Cosmetics one. It seriously gives you truly flawless full coverage and it has 50 SPF in it so I do not have to worry about my skin throughout the whole day. It’s almost like a tinted moisturizer but the coverage is incredible.

Dior Bronzer

As you guys saw, I love bronzer. Actually, I might have accidentally put too much on in the beginning, but it is okay because I evened it out lol! I use it on my cheek bones, my neck, my nose and even as my eyeshadow to make my eyes pop and look brighter. I have been using this Dior Bronzer for three years now and it is hands down the best bronzer out there. It isn’t overly shimmery, so it gives you a more natural sun kissed look.

What’s Up Highlighter

There is no doubt about it that I have an unhealthy relationship with this What’s Up Highlighter from Benefit. I like to put it right above my cheek bones and on my eyes for the most perfect shimmer. I had been recommended it a million times before actually purchasing it and once I did, I was so mad it took me so long to do so because it’s absolutely fantastic. It will also last you forever!

Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil

See, I told you guys I would find out what it was called! The funny thing it, I have had this Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil for over a year and at one point actually looked like a pencil and now……it looks more like a nub (lol) which is why I had a hard time looking for the name in the video! It is the perfect pencil for quickly giving your eyebrows a little life. Super, super easy to use!

Givenchy Brow Gel

Brow gel is absolutely essential to my daily makeup routine. It brushes my eyebrows perfectly and helps to keep them in place. I’m not 100% obsessed with any certain brand, but I was given a sample of this Givenchy Brow Gel and have been using it the past few months!

Chanel Blush

I picked up this Chanel Blush a few years ago after getting my makeup done by Chanel and have completely fallen in love with it. I’m not a huge blush person, but I love the color this one gives me. My little sister is really into makeup and all of her “fancy brushes” so it kills her that I use the brush that came with the blush as my applicator but I don’t care, I think it works just fine! I’m like, “Hannah, it’s still a Chanel blush, so it can’t be that bad”. HA!

Dior Mascara

When it comes to Mascara, I need it to give me lots of volume without making my eyelashes look clumpy. I do not wear eyelash extensions, but when I wear this Dior Mascara, it makes me look like I am! This has been my favorite mascara for over five years! It’s seriously the best.

Mac  (Creme d’ Nude) Lipstick

I picked up this lipstick while in St. Louis and I swear I have worn it every day since. It is the best nude lipstick I have ever owned. The lipstick itself brightens up your face and has been the icing on the cake of every look. It gives you a very effortless but beautiful light to your face!

Laura Geller Spackle Mist

This spackle mist is a primer, a refresher and a setting spray all in one. I use it on my blender ball to give me more of a dewier look, I spray it on my face to set my makeup, and I spray it on my face throughout the day to make me look more refreshed. I’ve been using this since April and so far I really, really like it!  It really sets my makeup without making it looked packed on my face!

Did you guys like this video? Would you like to see more or do you have any requests?? Please give me feedback! Love Ya’ll!

Lauren
