After yesterday’s post, I received a ton of messages from you guys regarding fall clothing! Basically, we are all in the same boat in that we are officially halfway through August and while our hearts are aching for cooler weather and pumpkin lattes already, the weather says otherwise.
Which is why I thought today would be the perfect day to share with you all a few Fall Pieces that you can buy and wear now, as well as later. One thing I love about the fall trends this season is that everything seems to be lighter and of a softer color palate. Which makes it great for transitioning pieces and taking items from season to season!
- Nude Rose (Pink) Dress: Nude Rose, otherwise known as a softer pink is going to be a huge trend this fall. I promise it is going to be everywhere. I love this nude rose dress for right now because it is so lightweight and flattering. I actually own this dress in white and it is one of my most absolute favorite dresses. This softer pink version though is seriously so perfect and will transition so easily.
- Mustard Purse: I’m not going to lie, I kind of hate that this color is called mustard, but at the same time, just calling it yellow doesn’t do it justice. This is color is another one that is going to be big this fall and this Marc Jacobs purse is a great option to wear now and later because it is the perfect accent purse. Wear it now with denim cutoffs and a white tank, then later wear it with jeans, booties and a neutral sweater.
- Mules: If you haven’t jumped on the mule train yet, I suggest you hop on quickly because this trend is here to stay! I for one, seriously love mules. I own this pair and pretty much wear them every single day and then recently just bought these cheetah print ones, which I cannot wait to wear!
- Nude Earrings: Nude earrings are a perfect way to start transiting into your fall wardrobe with. Small touches like these nude rose and marble earrings will give your outfit that softer feel without having to wear a cardigan.
- Neutral Purse: Another super easy way to start incorporating fall pieces into your wardrobe is with a neutral purse. I love everything about this Tory Burch one from the Nude Rose color of it, to the gold accents on it, it is perfect!
- Gold Bangle: In the summertime, I like lighter jewelry and as we transition into the fall I start wearing more and more jewelry – starting with adding bangles to my stack. I think this is because I view spring/summer as being more relaxed and the fall/winter as being more put together. This gold bangle though would be the perfect addition to the stack on your wrist if you like to stack jewelry like I do.
- Grey Cardigan: Have I sold you guys on this gray cardigan yet -lol? If you haven’t caught on yet, I swear it is what dreams are made of. Okay, that’s a little bit much, I admit it (ha!) but I keep pushing it because it really is the greatest cardigan and grey is the color that sold out the most for every piece during the Nordstrom sale.
- Wool Floppy Hat: Normally you think wool hat and think cooler temperatures, but with girls wearing the trend to music festivals throughout the summer, it is no longer just for the fall season. Wool Hats are a super easy accessory that you can start incorporating into your summer wardrobe now without totally dying of heat. This one flew off the shelves last year and was sold out for majority of the year but Nordstrom has thankfully brought it back for this season!
- Rose/Neutral Lipstick: Another super easy way to transition your look is through your lipstick. You could be wearring the most summery look in the world, but add a deeper more rose-colored lip and it will totally transform your whole look and vibe. YSL is my absolute favorite lipstick and this color is to die for. The specific shade is #216 Nude Trouble 😉
- Floral Dress: Floral, in general, is going to be huge once again this fall. I mean it is big every fall, but there is something about this years prints that I swear are more beautiful than the rest. I love this dress because it is seriously so lightweight and the colors are cool toned enough to wear right now. I also love the ruffle sleeves and the fact that it is only $59!
- Sunglasses: If you guys haven’t caught on yet, accessories are basically going to be your best friends until cooler weather actually comes. I love sunglasses because they can instantly transform any outfit. While I love my Ray Bans, in the fall time, I love a little bit of a rounder more retro feel to my glasses and this pair does not disappoint!
- Nude Closed Toe Pumps: Instead of wearing open toe sandals, trade them in for a pair of nude close toe pumps. This pair is so comfortable and I love the suede on them. They scream fall but won’t feel as heavy or hot as a bootie.
- Denim Skirt: I swear I told myself, after 2008 I would enver wear a denim skirt ever again and then here I am, lusting over this one. I fell in love with this white denim skirt last year and this year I am crazy coveting over this natural denim one. I could wear it right not with a tank and add a sweater to it in the fall!
What do you guys think of these picks and which ones are you most likely to wear now?
xo,
Lauren
