Hello NYFW

Happy Friday Guys! If you have been following me along, then you know that I am officially in New York for Fashion Week. Originally I wasn’t going to come because of the wedding….but after a turn of events and a few invites, I decided to pull the trigger and make the trip! I’m not going to lie though….my preparation for Fashion Week has been interesting, to say the least. Most bloggers I know have been preparing for fashion week for months and here I am, making the decision three weeks before.

This is my first NYFW and I am definitely having a few mixed emotions. I am so excited but at the same time I am having a major case of the fear of the unknown. Mainly because I do not know what to expect and it can definitely be intimating. But I am here and I am so excited to see what the week will bring. Well technically weekend because I didn’t want to take anymore time off of work… but still lol.

To prepare for NYFW, I sent a blast out to all of the bloggers across the U.S and found a roommate who just happened to have an extra spot in her hotel room right where the fashion shows will be located. Which is always in the Meat Packing District. I sent emails out to all of my contacts to set up meetings. Reached out to different designers to help get into shows (thank you LinkedIn and my super creepy CSI searching skills) and reached out to my fellow bloggers as well. I put together my outfits and have them geared more towards fall looks. Since it will still be hot in New York in September, I plan on wearing lots of fall toned dress with heels or booties. Everyone says to dress crazy to stand out for Fashion Week and while I am stepping a little bit out of my comfort zone, I do not plan on totally dressing crazy just to get noticed. Since I will have to be doing a lot of networking, I don’t want to feel uncomfortable or not like myself.  I’m mean don’t get me wrong, I have still planned some amazing outfits!

I just wanted to make sure that my outfits reflected me and my style.

Always trying to stay on brand over here lol.

I’ll be sharing everything on my Stories so be sure to follow along!

Have a great weekend loves!

xo,

Lauren
