Happy Friday Loves!

I hope you all have had a great week! As you all know, our weekend plans have changed justttttttt a little bit.

To say the least – ha!

We’ll probably spend the weekend pretty low key and preparing for our trip on Tuesday. I’m thinking margs with our friends tonight, then spin and dinner with our parents tomorrow. Just kind of enjoy being home!

As I told you all in Wednesday’s post, Colton and I will still be going on our honeymoon next week! Except instead of it being our “honeymoon” we’re just kind of going to get away and take a little vacation. The way I am viewing it is that, just because the wedding didn’t happen, doesn’t mean I haven’t been stressing to plan a wedding for the past year in a half. And let me tell you, this girl needs a serious break. The past few months have been such an emotional rollercoaster, so we decided to still go! I personally think it was the best decision and am so thankful we have the opportunity to do so!

Anywho, below are all of my Friday Frills!

Napa Wedding-Weekend Outfits

If you guys saw on my Insta Stories yesterday, I did a try on session of everything I was supposed to wear in Napa this weekend! Everything is on “Shop My Snapchat and Insta Stories“.

This is the dress I was going to wear to my Bridal Brunch, this top I was going to wear to go grape stomping with our wedding party and this is the dress I was going to wear to our Rehearsal Dinner!

Travel Uniform

When I am traveling (not internationally) Colton and I always tend to dress up. I know most people love to dress comfy, but if we are doing just a quick 2-3 hour flight, we usually like to look our best. This is because, most of the time, after landing, we go straight to do something with little to zero time in between to get ready. This outfit I am sharing above has recently been my go-to travel outfit. I love wearing the all black, a cardigan is always a necessity because you never know how hot or cold a plane is going to be and a Long Champ is the absolute best purse to take on a plane. It will literally fit everything you need and will go with every single outfit.

Puffer Jackets

I know I haven’t told you all where we are going on Tuesday, but I will tell you it is going to be a little chilly! I just ordered this pink puffer jacket and I am absolutely in love! If you are going somewhere cold this season, like skiing or something, then a cute little puffer jacket is an absolute must!

Find Five Things You Love About Yourself

The other day, I was listening to a podcast and the topic of self-confidence came up. I can’t remember exactly which podcast or episode it was (I listen to like 10 that day!) but this one topic really hit home for me. As women, I feel like we can be our own worst enemy. We are so hard on ourselves and are so quick to point out all of our own flaws.

Well in this podcast, gosh I wish I could remember which one, they were doing an interview and the girl being interviewed said how was when she was younger, her parents taught her to tell herself, out loud, five things she loves about herself before heading out the door. That this one piece of advice had helped her conquer so many different situations throughout her life. It gave her the confidence she needed and helped teach her the importance of loving herself.

Because the truth is that if you can’t love yourself, how are you going to love others.

I can’t even count how many times I have stood in front of the mirror and picked apart my body. It’s like I sit there and just tear myself apart. Well, the other day, when I was beating myself up over eating a cupcake or something stupid, I decided to take her advice. And ya’ll, let me tell you.  Instead of picking myself apart, out loud I decided to tell myself 5 things I love about my body. After doing this, I felt so much better walking out the door. I had a whole new sense of relief. I felt happier, I had confidence, I was a whole new person. So next time you are feeling down about your appearance, instead of continuing to knock yourself down, try telling yourself what you love about you and then see the difference!

Have a great weekend!

xo,

Lauren
