Hotel Honegg For The Perfect Swiss Honeymoon

Hotel Honegg

Hi guys! Welcome back!

I am so excited to share this post with you all today!!

I shared a recap on trip to Switzerland a few months ago, but want to shine some special light on our favorite hotel from the trip, Hotel Honegg.

During our week-long trip, we made a one night stop to the luxurious Hotel Honegg and I’ll tell you right now, it’s worth the hype. I have never been more pampered or felt more luxurious in my life. What I would have given to have stayed more than one night! While we were only there for less than 24 hours, we enjoyed the hotel and its facilities as much as we could in our short amount of time!

If you’re heading to Switzerland, Hotel Honegg must be at the top of your list!

Hotel Honegg

What To Do

  • Go-to the spa and get a traditional Swedish massage in Switzerland!
  • Take a dip in the heated infinity pool. Then lounge for hours in their lounge chairs with tableside wine and cheese.
  • Take a bike ride through the area. The hotel offers the cutes bikes to explore on.
  • Wake up early, sit on your patio and enjoy a coffee before exploring the area by foot if you prefer.
  • Have lots of champagne, sit back, relax and enjoy!

The Food

While we were only here for a short amount of town (less than 24 hours!), everything we had was phenomenal.

24/7 Service

Whether you’re lounging by the pool, in the pool, on the terrace or in your room, food and beverage service is offered to you 24/7. We loved ordering champagne and a cheese board to snack on while lounging at the spa.

Free Gourmet Breakfast

While this service is technically included in the rate of your room, it’s still nice knowing you do not have to worry about it.

Breakfast takes place outside on the terrace, overlooking the spa and the Mountains. The moment you’re seated, you are offered your beverage of choice! Whether it be a mimosa or coffee, the choice is yours. You are then brought a cleansing smoothing and full assortment or fruit, cheese and meat. Which is the traditional European Breakfast, but if you need more substance – do not worry. A full traditional breakfast menu is offered and included as well.

Romantic Dinner

Be sure to make a reservation for this one because seats are limited!! This dinner is extremely romantic and intimate. They only people you will find in there are a handful of other guests on their own romantic getaway. Everything is very customized to you and you will feel like you are being treated like royalty!

The Rooms

Extremely spacious, clean, roomy and luxurious. I highly recommend getting a room with a balcony.

Our room had a small sitting area with two couches and a king bed. I wish I could have gotten more pictures when we arrived the first day, but it was already nighttime and by the next morning our luggage was everywhere. The interior was decorated with all white and plush bedding. Dark wood, white walls with a dark green and emerald accents.

Every detail was just as luxurious as the hotel itself. Even the complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner was Hermés.

The Spa

To be completely honest, the reason we chose Hotel Honegg was for its spa and its luxurious, as well as famous, heated infinity pool.

While guest are allowed complete access to the spa, it’s very hard for outsiders to make appointments. So if you are not staying at the hotel but wish to go to the spa, you will want to book at least four months in advance.

Favorite Moments At Hotel Honegg

  • Sitting on the patio upon arrival with champagne. During the day, outsiders can visit the hotel and it is so lively and fun! The hotel seats you on a couch overlooking the area and pours champagne to kick off your arrival. It was amazing!
  • Of course, the infinity heated pool overlooking the Alps. We could have stayed in there for hours – which we did!
  • The balcony in our room. Sitting outside in the morning, drinking coffee in my robe while looking at the mountains with the only sound for miles are cowbells. So incredibly tranquil.
  • A cold/cozy nightcap on the hotel terrace. After dinner, be sure to take the rest of your evening outside for a coffee and chocolate. If you’re worried about being cold, don’t be! They offer the coziest full length, fur coats I have ever seen.
