Welcome back you guys!
Valentine’s Day is almost exactly a week away and if you’re not sure what to do for your loved one, then I highly suggest making a Valentine’s Day Basket!!
I’ve actually already done a post on Valentine’s baskets in the past, but that was a few years ago and I figured it was time for an update!
I first started making these for Colton on our first Valentine’s Day. I wasn’t exactly sure what to get him and I didn’t have a ton of money to go over the top on a single gift, so instead, I made him a basket and filled it with a few of his favorite things. It had cupcakes, snacks, his favorite whisky, travel cologne, a card, a teddy bear and a picture of the two of us. He loved it so much, that the next year, he gave me a basket too and the tradition has continued from there.
The key to this basket is that you don’t have to go over the top and buy expensive items! With these baskets, the whole point is to shower your person with love and show them that you care.
Plus, they are so fun to give!
HER BASKET
For her basket, I recommend a few things. These candles are the best and are the smallest little luxury – Colton always adds one in my basket!
Then things like her favorite perfume or her favorite lipstick are also big contenders! If she’s really into fitness, you could add a pack of her favorite protein bars in there as well, and I also like the idea of gifting her a new planner for the year if she is someone with a really busy schedule.
Don’t forget a sweet card and flowers!
HIS BASKET
His basket is super easy as well!!
For Colton’s, there are a few things I always include. Like Red Velvet Cupcakes from Crave, his favorite whiskey, a sweet card and then little things like travel versions of his favorite cologne and face moisturizer.
I’ll also include other things like his favorite energy drinks, little snacks he loves that I do not usually buy, chapstick and other little items.
Most of these I already mentioned above!
