Welcome back loves!
How was everyone’s weekend?? Our was short and sweet. We basically relaxed, played and worked all weekend. Friday we stayed in, ordered Thai and rented a movie. Saturday, I went for a morning run, we shot a few campaigns and had sushi/drinks with friends. Then Sunday, we woke up early to shoot again, came back and made brunch, watched about 15 episodes of The Office (lol), cleaned the apartment and went to dinner with Colton’s parents at Le Colonial.
We’re well into February, and even though it is one of my favorite months, it’s also hands down the most awkward month. Growing up and having your Birthday in February was always the worst because we never knew what the weather was going to be like. It didn’t help that I always wanted my Birthday Party outdoors either. Now here I am, almost 26 years-old and still having the same problem. I’m telling you guys, all I want to do for my Birthday is to sit outside on a patio and drink wine with my friends. That’s it – lol, but is doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
I mean, it could….. but I’m not about to make anyone sit outside in forty degree, rainy weather -ha!
None-the-less, spring is in our future and I will be able to do that someday soon! All the stores are getting rid of of their winter items, to make room for their spring collections and I am loving it! This dress is the very first spring item I have bought for the season and ya’ll, I’m obsessed. Like, I didn’t know you could fall in love with a dress until I put this one on. It’s only $55 and it is not only super flattering and gorgeous, but it’s so stinking comfortable it’s not even funny. I love all of the ruffles, the puffy sleeves, stripes and the tie bow. Then I paired it with these earrings to make the outfit pop!! I bought them right before my Bachelorette and they are just so fun and bring life to every outfit.
Last week I went to an event at Neiman’s for their Spring Fashion Showcase and got to see a sneak peak at all of this seasons biggest trends.
YA’LL everything was so amazing.
Think lots of florals, brights colors and bold statements. I’m going to do a full post on it this week!
In the meantime, I hope you all have a great week.
I have a few events, Valentine’s Day Wednesday, our friends come in town I think Friday and then my Birthday is on Saturday.
Busy, busy, busy!
xo,
Lauren
