Happy Monday Babes!!

Or ‘howdy‘ I guess I should say – lol. The funny thing is, after living in Texas my whole life, I’ve only heard someone actually say ‘howdy‘ a hand full of times  Yet, everyone from out of state thinks it’s such normal thing here!

We met a new friend over the weekend from California and on Friday as we were walking downtown at almost 1:00 am, everyone was in their cowboy gear from the cookoff. He was like “does everyone always dress like this…?” and we just started laughing because the only reason it was normal for us to see, was because of the Rodeo and the fact that it was technically Go Texan Day. It was just funny because we were feeding into our stereotype.

None-the-less, it is officially Rodeo season (yay!), which is my favorite season of the year! Some of my best high school memories are from the rodeo. You know, getting all dressed up, going with a big group of friends, sneaking in beers to see Brad Paisley…. the good ol‘ day’s lol – sorry mom! This year, I believe we are seeing Jason Alden!

Friday, I showed you all my favorite look with this double buckle belt, but I wanted to show another favorite look today!

I love to wear it on those sunny rodeo Saturday’s! It’s feminine, comfortable and I love that this off the shoulder dress can be worn in so many different occasions besides the rodeo. If you want it for this weekend, it’s on major sale for $40 and you can get it with 2-day free shipping! This one is identical too!

Who are you looking the most forward to seeing this year?

xo,

Lauren

Question about the Nars Matte Lipstick! I finally got my hands on that exact shade, and I absolutely love it…but do you do anything in particular to set it? I notice it’s not completely transfer proof, and tends to crack a little after several hours of wear.

Hi honey!!! I’m glad you like it so far! Before applying, I really make sure to exfoliate my lips and moisturize them before applying the lipstick. I also, always use a lip liner first as well!

In regards to it cracking, I just reapply. I usually notice it cracking after 3-4 hours. Also, sometimes if I just add a little chapstick to it, it will fix as well. Unfortunately, it’s not perfect… but the shade unlike anything else.
