Guys, how am I just now showing you all a tour of our living room?? I could have sworn I did it when we first moved in, but I guess I never got to it?? If I’m crazy and I have posted this, then let me know! But I could not find a post.

So anyways…. welcome to our home! I’ll have to do another post on the rest of the apartment soon since we may be moving at the end of the month. Keyword may.  I would love to stay, but as of right now, we are not ready to sign a full years lease and are looking for a short term. We will see though!

Now that it is officially spring, I have started my spring cleaning and have started making everything in our home more spring-like and airy.

Here are a few easy things that you can do to spruce up your home this spring!

New Freshly Scented Candles

I truly believe that a candle can completely set the tone for your home! During the holidays, I prefer my home to smell like a warm vanilla cookie. In the spring, I like it to smell fresh! Like fresh linens or spring florals, but nothing too strong!

This one smells like Prosecco Rose

Spring / Summer Decor

My favorite spring and summer decor touches include pineapples and lemons! I literally have a million pineapples in my living room because they are so inviting and actually mean ‘welcome’. Another thing you could do is have a bowl of fresh fruit in your kitchen. That one is a tip I picked up from my mom!

Coffee Table Books

Coffee Table books are another easy transition. We love this Gray Malin book because it is literally just a bunch of pictures of beautiful beaches. I also have a few bright fashion books that I love as well.

Fresh Blooms

There is nothing more inviting than fresh blooms. Plus, they really open up the room and are so beautiful! Both my parents always have fresh flowers in there home and it’s something I have grown accustomed too. My favorites are white/pink roses, white hydrangeas, pink peonies or tulips for Easter!

Pillows

Switch out your pillows for brighter pillow options! I have a basket of pillows in my laundry room and every season I switch them out to change things up a bit!

What are a few of your tips?
