Hi, hi!
Happy Monday!!
How was everyone’s weekend?? Ours was super freaking relaxing.
Like really though.
Friday was seriously so beautiful, so after work we met friends at The Tasting Room in Up Town Park for happy hour and dinner. It was the perfect spring evening, their patio is dog friendly, they always have a band and it was just good vibes all around. Plus our service that night was phenomenal.
Saturday, wasn’t as nice so we slept in, cleaned around the apartment a little bit, I made it to a class at Equinox, we went to a super late lunch at Escalante’s in Highland Village and took it easy that night. We ended up renting the new Jumanji movie and it was so funny!!! I highly recommend it! We also watched I, Tonya – which was super good too! Then Sunday we went for an early morning walk with Bentley to Starbucks, shot for a quick second, then headed to Sugarland for Colton’s, Moms First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Which was really nice! Plus I think is really cool. Even though I’m not Catholic, as you guys read in this post, I went to Catholic School my whole life, so I know what a big step it really was.
After church, we went to lunch and during Colton’s Dads speech (he’s quite the trip – btw lol) he made a few points I wanted to share with you all.
First – If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plan.
I have heard this saying a million times before, but recently it has really been in the back of mind. Because the truth is, we are not in control of anything. All we can do is live our lives, have the best attitude and pray about it.
Then Secondly – That a huge part of Marriage is about getting each other to heaven.
The same thing goes for life, in general. It’s about getting your friends and family there as well. Pushing each other to do the best and be the best christians while we are here.
– – –
I’m not going to lie, I’m not sure if that’s exactly what he said (ha!), but that’s what I took away from it and I’m sure ya’ll get the gist of it.
Either way, I know you guys didn’t come here to get a Bible lesson – haha, so I’ll get on with today’s post!
I do have to say though, I did think it was appropriate since I am technically sharing an Easter Dress dress with you all.
While you could wear this dress to literally anything this spring ( think Bridal Showers, Luncheons, Church, Weddings & etc. ), I will be wearing it for Easter! It’s under $100 (holla) and you can have it by this weekend too, thanks to Revolve and their 2-Day Free Shipping. Literally, their 2-Day Free Shipping always saves me for last minute occasions. From a business and customer standpoint, there is literally nothing better – lol. I love all of the floral details and the dainty ruffles of this dress. It’s all around just really beautiful and lady like. I also love the fact that it covers your shoulders. Basically, if you’re looking for a super cute last minute Easter Dress, then there is no better option
Anyways, I hope you all have a great start to your week! If you want to get this dress by Easter, I would order it no later than Tuesday or Wednesday. Just to make sure!
xo,
Lauren

I’m actually going to the tasting room this weekend for my anniversary! I JUST found out it was dog friendly and your post just confirmed that! Ugh, hope Houston doesn’t rain on me this weekend.
Thanks for linking the lipstick, what shade are you wearing?
