RStheCon Recap

Good Morning Loves!

How has everyone been? I seriously feel like I haven’t been on here in forever! As you all know, it’s very unlikely for me to write only three times a week but last week was a little different since I was at the Reward Style Conference!

I don’t want to overload you all with conference details this week (I’ll only have one more after this one), but I did want to share this past weekend with you guys!

For anyone who isn’t familiar with RewardStyle, they are the company behind LiketoKnow.it, which you all know so very well. They have a conference every year and being invited has been a goal of mine since I started blogging. So to get invited right after taking the big leap into blogging full time, was a very big “pinch me” moment.

This past weekend was exhausting, but I truly loved every minute of it. I actually enjoyed this conference even more than Fashion Week. I learned a lot, I was able to meet with a lot of brands, I met a lot of girls and just had a really great time.

THURSDAY

Thursday, we left bright and early to make our way to Dallas! I rode up with and roomed with two other Houston Bloggers, Margarete from Style the Girl and Tiffany from Flaunt and Center, which really made my trip!

I could not have asked for better girls to spend the weekend with.

The conference was held at the Crescent Hotel in Dallas and when we pulled up, we were all in awe because not only was the hotel gorgeous but it was a total LiketoKnow.it x RStheCon take over from head to toe. From the flowers hanging at the entrance to the Liketoknow.it bus and bikes, it was all so amazing!

Once inside the hotel, we checked in, explored the rest of the property, said hello to all of the girls and eventually made our way up to the brand hall. In the brand hall, we were greeted with champagne then were able to walk around to each brands booth, chat with their reps and grab some amazing goodies! From Kendra Scott to Loft, Marc Jacobs, Banana Republic, eBay Urban Outfitters and more, there were some amazing brands and booths in there.

That afternoon, we headed to the hotel pool for a poolside party hosted by SuperGoop!

For those of you not familiar with SuperGoop, they are a premier sunscreen brand that has the cleanest ingredients, is super lightweight and doesn’t smell like regular sunscreen.

For the party, I decided to go with this little polka-dot two-piece set. Since my torso is so short, it looks like a normal dress, but, in fact, a two-piece set! The skirt was so fun and I loved the polka dots on it. The perfect little outfit for a poolside soiree.

FRIDAY

Friday, I woke up bright and early and headed to the hotel’s gym before the day got started!

At 9:30 a.m., all of the girls crowded into the conference room to listen to all of the amazing speakers. From Amber Venze Box (Co-founder of Reward Style) to Aimee Song ( Song of Style), Kendra Scott and more, it was a really great and motivating way to start the conference.

I’ll be sharing my 10 Favorite Takeaways from RStheCon and Speakers later this week!

After the speakers, we had a Garden Lunch hosted by Banana Republic, then the afternoon was filled with classroom sessions and brand meetings.

For this day, I wore this adorable white Tularosa dress. It normally goes for $178 but I found it right before the conference for under $100! It was so gorgeous and comfortable I cannot recommend it enough!

That night, we all headed to a little Fiesta Party hosted by Express for some Margaritas and fun!!

The way Express transformed this area of the hotel was unreal and so fun! I honestly don’t think the pictures did it justice!

For this look, I went with this red jumpsuit (runs large) a high ponytail and statement earrings. It was the perfect little look for an afternoon of fun. I love this jumpsuit because it is one that you could take from work to happy hour!

SATURDAY

Saturday, I woke up feeling much more exhausted than the morning before. We were literally going non-stop and I feel like the best way to explain the weekend is by saying that it was like a really slow marathon – lol.

We had classroom sessions all morning, a gorgeous lunch hosted by Sole Society and an afternoon of Brand Meetings.

I picked up this scalloped tank (which I love) right before the trip and paired it with these floral shorts and my favorite white denim jacket. For a last minute outfit, it definitely turned out to be a favorite!

Then Saturday night, was hands down my favorite night of all! Y’all, this party was incredible. We had the chance to get all dressed up and after a short bus ride, we arrived to Dallas’s Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.

The location was gorgeous, the decor was unreal, the drinks were flowing and they had the most fun photo ops!

The best part though was the dancing. When I say we danced all night long, we literally danced all night long. A jazz musician is the one who really got the party started though. I know it sounds weird, but he was incredible and so much fun!!  He literally got the whole party started in like less than 5 minutes. It was seriously such a fun party and the perfect way to end the RStheCon weekend!

My dress was a sweet gift from the online boutique, Salt Flat. One of the owners, Kailey is a sweet friend and when she wore it during Fashion Week, I became obsessed! I literally told her a million times how much I loved it, so she gifted it to me last year and I was so happy to finally have a party to wear it too!

I hope you all enjoyed the recap!

I’m waking up this morning feeling very grateful for the experience and excited for the future of this little blog.

Have a great week!

xo,

Lauren
