Happy Wednesday Babes!

I am so excited to be bringing you all of these photos from our Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner today! Going through these photos seriously gave me all the feels. Never in a million years could Colton and I have imagined a more beautiful or fun rehearsal dinner.

I’m not sure if you guys remember or not, but in April, Colton, his parents and I all went to Napa on a last minute trip to find a Rehearsal Dinner venue. Our original venue was bought out by a new owner and less than three weeks before our wedding, Colton’s parents were told we had to find a new place.

At one point, what felt like the biggest pushback ended up being the biggest blessing.

While we were in Napa looking at venues, the hotel we were staying at was filled with another wedding group for the weekend. Everyone was raving about how amazing the Rehearsal Dinner the night before was when Colton’s Dad jumped in and asked where they had it. They said “Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch” and that’s exactly where we had our first appointment that morning. As soon as we left that appointment, all four of us knew where we wanted to have it. What’s funny is that, Farmstead is actually where I wanted to have it in the first place but was already booked in October. So when we had to push the whole wedding back to May, they were ready for us!

When I say our Rehearsal Dinner was fun, it was fun!  The weather was beautiful, we served beer and wine with a Texas Margarita. We had bocce ball for guests to play, a bonfire at night and all of the food was served family style. The whole theme was pretty much bringing a little part of the South to the Valley. We were all very hesitant about the dinner being served family style but honestly – it was so much fun and made everyone feel like one big family!

For place cards, Colton’s mom made personalized white marble paperweights that guests could take home with them and made wine glass tags for all of the guests as well! She is the queen of detail!!

We had an open mic during dessert, for family and friends to give speeches as they pleased; and Colton’s sister, Ashlynne, put together the most wonderful slideshow that we watched on the projector.

Towards the end of the evening, I kept finding myself sitting back and watching our guests. I was really trying to soak in the fact that all of our loved ones were finally here in the Valley, after two years of planning. Also the fact that Colton and I would be getting married that very next day. Literal tears in my eyes as I write this but it was truly the most beautiful evening.

Thank you so much to Colton’s parents, Julie and Scott for the most amazing Rehearsal Dinner that we could have ever dreamed of. We’re so thankful and love you guys so much!

xo,

Lauren

Like if you did assign seating, how was dinner served, did you have kids invited?
Were there many guests still showing up if kids weren’t invited?
AH! I’m planning my wedding as well so I’m stuck and could get all the advice I can get!
