I’m so excited to have Colton back on the blog today featuring Bonobos. If you’re a regular LifetoLauren reader, then you know how much of a staple Bonobos is in Colton’s closet and in our home -lol! I’ve talked about Bonobos for years on here because they are pretty much the only brand Colton wears.
Reason being – Fit, Quality & Style. You just can’t beat it.
When deciding on exactly what to write for this post, I figured it would be best to have Colton take over and tell you guys himself, why he personally likes Bonobos so much.
So with out further ado…
Hey guys, whats going on? This is Colton, once again making a guest appearance!
I’m here to talk to ya’ll about one of my favorite Men’s clothing brand, Bonobos. I have been wearing Bonobos for at least four years now and they have taken over my wardrobe. From shorts to henleys, to blazers, suits and everyday pants – Bonobos is my first choice when I want to look my best. A quote that has stayed with me from my hockey days is “Look good, play good”. I tend to perform best when I feel confident in my appearance. Hints why Bonobos is in the front of my closet.
I want to tell you all about my first Bonobos experience and why I have continued to add their items into my wardrobe. The first Bonobos clothing item I ever bought, was a pair of Weekday Warriors. Which are the pants I am wearing in today’s post! Back then, I had a couple pairs of dress pants from college, but they were all a little baggy and didn’t fit me properly …. or at least they didn’t fit how I wanted them to fit. That’s until I bought my Weekday Warriors. I was starting my first job straight out of college and needed a good pair of black pants that I could wear every day to work. So Lauren mentioned a new brand called Bonobos that was just men’s clothing. While she originally saw their clothing at Nordstrom’s, we heard an actual store front was opening close to us at the River Oaks District, so I had to go in and check it out for myself. From the moment I walked into the store, I was enamored by it. I have spent so many years going into boutiques and clothing shops with Lauren that only had women’s clothing. It was amazing to see a whole store dedicated to men’s fashion and clothing. It was great having the employees help style your whole look, find the perfect fit and give ideas on how to wear them differently.
After browsing the store, I ended up choosing the Weekday Warrior Pants because of how I could customize them to fit. They offer Slim, Tailored, Athletic, and Straight fits. Since I’m a skinny guy, tall guy, I usually go with a tailored fit for the office and more of a slim fit for when I am going out on a date night with Lauren or just out for the evening. These pants are super versatile. You can wear then for any occasion which I probably have over 10 pairs. After my first purchase of the “Tuesday Black” Weekday Warriors, I knew I needed other colors before my coworkers found out I was wearing the same pants everyday. They’re super comfortable to wear all day, while being very breathable and light weight. I’ve also been living in these Daily Grind Wrinkle Free Dress Shirts as well. If you’re anything like me, then your clothes tend to have a wrinkle or two in them the moment you pull them out of the closet. Which is why this dress shirt has quickly become my favorite work shirt, especially in this houston heat. Plus it’s always nice pulling out a shirt for work and not having to also turn the steamer on. It’s another one of those that I have multiple pairs of! Which is easy to do since the Daily Grind Dress Shirt comes in at least over 50 designs.
To end the blog post, if you’re a guy reading this or if you’re a girl reading this with a significant other in mind, whose clothes never seem to fit properly, than I cannot recommend Bonobos enough. Give them a chance and I swear, once you finally understand what it’s like to actually have clothes that fit you properly, then your view on clothes and style will change forever.
