Happy Friday Babes! We made it to the weekend again!
If we’re being completely honest here, this is my least favorite time of the year. It’s still “technically summer” and still a thousand degrees outside. Yet, all summer vacations are pretty much over, kids are going back to school and retailers are already pushing fall on us. It’s like this weird lull where my heart wants a pumpkin spice latte but in reality I’m having a hot flash -lol.
I was supposed to be going to Austin this weekend, but something came up for the blog early next week, so I just felt more comfortable staying home. I’m not one of those people who can just go, go, go. If I go out of town, I need at least a few days to a week home before I leave again. While I love to travel, I’m actually quite the homebody. This is the first time in almost six months that I have been home for more than three weeks straight and I’m just absolutely loving it!
Buttt… if that’s not the case for you and you’re getting bored or running out of things to do…
Here are 5 Things to try in Houston this Weekend
(1) Have a Stay-Cation
This has actually been on my list of things to do for awhile! I love the idea of just checking into a hotel and lounging by the pool all weekend without having to drive or hop on a plane. Grab a few friends, book a room and if you split it four ways, the cost won’t be that bad.
My hotel suggestions are…
(2) Houston Resturant Week
It’s officially time for Houston Restaurant Weeks and if there are any resturants you have been wanting to try out! This is the perfect opportunity, while also giving back to charity!
