Happy Monday Babes!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
We had a really nice and relaxing one. Starting last Wednesday, we had a super busy week, so by the time Saturday hit, we were exhausted and wanted to take it easy. The thunderstorms didn’t help the situation either – lol!
We had a lot of family time, continued to celebrate Colton’s birthday, decorated our home for fall, had a date night and watched a lot of football. When we woke up Sunday morning, I was shocked as to how cool it was outside and it definitely got me in the fall spirit. Not that I would normally count 75 as “cool” (lol) but compared to what we have had recently, 75 was like a dream.
It may still be too hot to actually wear this outfit from today’s post, but let me tell you, once the cooler weather actually hits, I will be living in this. Especially this cardigan that I have already been wearing on repeat and it’s not even October yet!
Since Saturday was the official first day of fall though, I figured I would share my Fall Bucket List with you all today!
Fall Bucket List 2018
Decorate the apartment for fall!
Technically, I did that this past weekend, but I still have a few little things to add and need to pick up some fall candles before it’s complete!
Take Our Yearly Family Photos at the Pumpkin Patch
Ever since we were in college, Colton, Bentley and I have taken a photo at the pumpkin patch and it’s one of my favorite traditions! Throw-back to 2013 with this old IG photo 🙂
Have Friends Over to Carve Pumpkins.
This is another tradition we used to do in college and it was honestly so fun! We would have friends over, everyone would bring a pumpkin and we would order pizza, drink lots of wine (& beer) and spend the evening carving pumpkins.
Make all of my favorite fall recipes!
It wouldn’t be fall if I didn’t make my famous sweet & spicy pecans or my pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!
Spend a night curled up on the couch watching Halloween Movies.
Not scary ones though!! Only fun ones like Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown-lol. I’m a little kid at heart and too much of a scaredy-cat to ever watch actual scary movies.
Go to Waco for the weekend and see a Baylor Game. #sicem
We haven’t been to Waco since our engagement photo session almost two years ago and Colton and I have been super missing it…… some of our most favorite memories were at Baylor during the fall and at football games so we are hoping to make it back at least once.
Visit a town with real Fall Foliage.
I actually already have this one planned for November and I am really excited about it!
Start running every Saturday morning.
Now that the temperatures are dropping (slowly but surely), I want to start running more than I have been.
Make it to ACL – even it’s only for the day!
We love going to ACL and weren’t able to go last year since we were supposed to be getting married – lol, so I think we are planning to go this year, at least for just a day!
Attend or Host a Friendsgiving.
I hosted my first one last year and it was so much fun!!! Our November is going to be really crazy with traveling, so I don’t know if we will be able to pull it off, but I am feeling optimistic!
Spend a Sunday home, watching football all day with the balcony doors open!
When the temperatures drop, this is our favorite way to spend a lazy Sunday!
Have a great week!!!
xo,
Lauren
