Last week after coming home from San Antonio, I caught the worst cold/virus ever. I was stuffed up, I had chest congestion, a fever, I was lethargic and the whole nine yards. The moment I caught it though, Colton knew we needed to stop Whole Foods to pick up all of the ingredients for this ginger tea recipe, because it’s my go-to when I’m feeling under the weather. Now that I think about, you guys should totally be mad at me for just now sharing this tea recipe with you.
It’s has been my little secret weapon for kicking colds and sore throats to the curb for years. I can’t take all of the credit though! Colton is actually the one who found this recipe and first made it for me when I was really sick one time back in college. After one cup, I was instantly feeling better and it has become a staple in our home. It’s absolutely crazy how much it works. While it won’t 100% cure you (always go to your doctor) it really will make you feel better.
It’s made from fresh ginger, garlic, apple cider vinegar, fresh lemon juice and a smidge of honey! My only piece of advice is that highly encourage you to not go trying to kiss or breath on anyone after drinking this tea – lol….. but then again you’re sick, so you shouldn’t be trying to kiss anyone anyways 😉
This tea is also great for your gut, detoxing and indigestion as well! Truly the health benefits are endless!
