TIPS ON AVOIDING DRY SKIN THIS WINTER SEASON

My goodness, how is Christmas already next week?! This year is just flying. Normally we don’t get to experience “real fall/winter weather” here in Houston but this year has actually been so nice! Unfortunately though, the one thing that comes with cooler weather is drier skin. 

Normally I’m pretty good about moisturizing my skin, but during this time of year, I definitely do more in order to keep it from getting too dry!

TIPS TO AVOID DRY SKIN DURING THE WINTER

  • Staying hydrated and drinking water is super important
  • When showering, try using luke-warm water instead of hot water to help avoid stripping the natural oils from your skin.  
  • Limit your showers to under 10 minutes. 
  • Make sure you’re exfoliating 1×2 times a week (can easily be done with a loofa)
  • Moisturize both morning and night. 
  • Lastly, make sure you’re using a moisturizing body wash!
