The Mother’s Day Edit

Welcome back, friends!

Mother’s Day is this weekend and if you’re anything like me (a true procrastinator) then you’re most likely still deciding what to get the mother in your life.

I wish that I was the kind of person who did plan ahead and took care of things like this in advance but I’m not and I know that about myself. Luckily for you guys though, it means I’m really good at finding last minute gifts that will still arrive on time!

Throughout this post you’ll find a variety of potential gifts to give the Mother in your life. Whether it’s something for your wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, etc., there’s something for everyone.

Everything you see above is something that I’d personally want or would gift to another mom!

I absolutely love this birthstone necklace. Recently, I have found most birthstone jewelry pieces as a tad tacky but I think this one is truly lovely. This personalized vase and frame would be perfect for the one that has everything. These New Balance sneakers are ‘it’ – trust me. This Osea Oil is my holy grail body oil. These candles are the best and I can’t recommend this oversized bed tray enough!! I have it and it’s amazing.

My top two picks though would either be a pair of Lake Pajamas or a LL. Bean Boat tote (keep scrolling down for more info on both).

favorites under $100

Lake Pajamas

robe // pj shorts set // slippers

Ok, okay. You guys are probably tired of me talking about my Lake Pajamas but I can’t help it. They are that good!

So far I’ve gotten my mom, my mother-in-law, and my grandmother a pair of their own and they all have said they are ‘the nicest pajamas they’ve ever owned’! Fit TTS but I normally like to size up one size in all their shorts and pants sets. The nights gowns I’d stick with your true size!

LL. Bean Boat Tote

These LL.bean boat totes with a cheeky quote embroidered are very in right now and have been for a few years. You either want to go with a size medium or large (long handles are a must) and in either dark green, navy or white.

Cheeky quote ideas: Very busy, Cool Mom, Spicy Marg, Not my problem, Unbothered, On Brand

or

Just have her name embroidered (lower case in ‘thin script’ font)

If you aren’t able to have it personalized via LL.Bean in time for Mothers Day, I suggest just ordering it and having it embroidered locally in your city! I know our Nordstroms in Houston does same day embroidery.

DIY Hand Art Floral Bouquet

Mother's Day DIY Hand Craft for Kids

If you’re thinking of going more of the DIY/ kids craft route – we made these bouquet hands prints last year for both the grandmothers and they loved them so much!

For this craft you have two options.

  1. If you’re crafty, you can paint the bouquet yourself and just have the kids add their hand prints at the end!
  2. Take the easy route and just purchase a print from Etsy! Have it printed at Walmart or Office depot, add the kiddos hand prints, frame it and you’re done!

Frame wise, Target is my favorite. Their Threshold line of wall frames look so high end, that they’re often mistaken for Pottery Barn.

Until next time!
