I’m so excited to share my Charleston Travel Guide with you guys! I have been wanting to go to Charleston for as long as I can remember and last week, I finally made that dream a reality! I took a very quick trip with Dede from Dress Up Butter Cup and Kailey from Double Shot of Sass for a girls trip of a lifetime! We ate, drank and shopped our way through the city! But don’t worry – we stopped to take a few photos along the way 🙂

DAY ONE
We arrived to Charleston around 2:00 pm and immediately went to check into our hotel before heading off to a late lunch.
For our trip, we chose The Dewberry Hotel and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Not only was it in the perfect location, one block away from Kings Street, but it was SO stinkin’ cute. We were seriously so obsessed with every inch of the hotel. From the gold chrome touches, to our larger chandelier filled bedroom and all white marble bathroom, we were in love. Also, the staff there were truly amazing and their customer service deserves a 100%. I mean, truly amazing. I know everyone is different, but I truly believe where you stay in during a trip can either make or break your stay from the moment you arrive. So I am so happy we chose The Dewberry for our first trip!
After checking in, we were all starving so went out for light (very late) lunch at The Park Café. We made it just in time for happy hour and had wine, a small cheese plate. We were so happy to be there, that we probably could have sat there for hours, but we knew we had a lot to see! The Park Café was such a cute spot and was highly recommended to us by so many, but I do have to say, it was in a little bit of a strange area and about a 7 minute Uber from our hotel. Other than that it was perfect!
After lunch, we headed to King Street to explore and do some shopping. Then that night, we got all dressed up and went The Darling Oyster for dinner. Pro tip – order a bottle of white wine and then try one of each type of oysters they offer. Dede and I did this and it was so fun! Our waitress was amazing and sat there with us and explained exactly what each oyster was, why it tasted the way it did and what each shell meant. It was so cool! It doesn’t hurt that The Darling Oyster was so cute on the inside too.

DAY TWO
Day two started bright and early with a photoshoot at Rainbow Row. If you are going to Charleston for the first time, Rainbow Row is a must! The homes are beautiful and the whole area is exactly what you would imagine Charleston would look like. Basically, it’s perfect for a photo op!
After shooting, we went to brunch at the Hominy Grill which was super recommend by almost everyone we talked too! It was really cute and the food was definitely all southern. Like biscuits & gravy; shrimp & grits, and pancakes. Basically, nothing healthy lol. I asked the waitress for a cup of fruit and you wold have thought I asked for the forbidden fruit – ha! It was crazy lol! So yeah, not the healthiest spot – but I was all about the experience, so it was ok! The grits really were awesome and the mimosas weren’t too bad either 😉
After brunch, we headed back to the hotel, changed clothes and went shopping! We shopped for a while, walked down to battery park, and then stopped at the Vendue Hotel for some wine on their roof top! I’m not going to lie, I was not impressed with this rooftop. We had been recommended a few and chose this one, but there are better ones – trust me! I will say the crab dip here was amazing though!
That night, we got all dressed up and went to happy hour at Zero George. Which might have been one of my favorite parts of the trip! This hotel was SO cute! I mean – perfect. I loved the little couch we had, the service was impeccable and the grounds were so beautiful! It’s definitely on my list for places to stay next time I’m in town. Plus, they were so amazingly accommodating! I loved everything about it. We were just so happy being there.
After happy hour, we went to Le Farfalle which was by far my favorite meal of the trip!! It was so good, the wine was amazing and the company didn’t hurt either 🙂 We sat outside on their patio, it had hanging lights above and it was just so nice! Afterwards we went to the Market Pavillion for their rooftop bar and the moment we got there, we knew we made a mistake with our previous rooftop choice. This rooftop was everything. So cute and had the most amazing views of Charleston!

DAY THREE
Our last day was short and sweet. We woke up, I went for a run and then we packed and headed down stairs to Henriatta’s for breakfast before heading home. THIS was the kind of breakfast I was looking for the whole trip lol. Cute white marble tables, our waiter didn’t look at me like I was crazy when I asked for a cup of fruit, and they had chicken sausage!!! This is the restaurant in The Dewberry – so of course the service was amazing too. It was the perfect way to end our trip!
I can’t wait to go back – especially with Colton!! Next time – a plantation tour & the beach is definitely on my list!
xo,
Lauren
