Hello, Hello Guys!
Coming at you from Mexxiccooooo!
I’m officially away for my Bachelorette party, so I couldn’t think of a more appropriate post! I know I haven’t shared this with you all yet, but we had quite the hiccup in our Bachelorette plans. For the past 6 months, we have been planning the most amazing trip to Playa Del Carmen and Tulum for my Bachelorette Party. Well Monday morning, we woke up to the news that a Tropical Storm / Hurricane would be hitting the area Tuesday.
When we spoke to the hotel Monday evening, they informed us they were shutting down until Wednesday in preparation for the storm and that the airport had already closed. We had two options. (1) We could wait it out and hope for the best or (2) we could put Plan B into action. Well, we chose option number 2 and instead, we will be heading to Cabo San Lucas for my Bach! Originally, when we first starting booking the trip, I was very against the idea of Cabo because I have been so many times (I mean, I was there in January!). But once we were forced to put this plan into action, it honestly felt right because I do love Cabo so much. I’m also very familiar with the area and it all just seemed to fall into place.
So, we are here in Cabo, again, but I could not be more excited to be here, in MEXICO, with my best girls. Everything happens for a reason. But if I have felt kind of MIA on here this week, that is why! I have been dealing with our big switch lol.
Anyways, since a lot of you are heading to Bachelorette parties of you own, I wanted to create a fun packing list for all of my brides out there! This one is perfect if you are heading to the beach like I am, to the lake or even for a hotel pool themed Bach!
- Not-So-White-Romper: You’re the bride and while you’ll want to wear only white all weekend long, try adding in fun options like this romper that are still striking but add just a little bit of color!
- Hydrating Face-Masks: I swear, I am planning on bringing 100 of these. I live for hydrating facial masks and if your Bach is going to be anything like mine, then you’re going to want one too after a fair share of skinny margaritas and champagne.
- Bride Clutch: I seriously became obsessed with this clutch two years ago when it first came out and I still want it. I mean, how cute would this be to bring out with you? So perfect for the bride to be. I didn’t buy it in time for my Bach but I do plan on wearing it to my either my rehearsal dinner or my shower!
- White Swimsuit Cover-Up: The perfect addition to any water activity! I plan on wearing this one by the pool while eating chips and guac lol.
- Cute Sunglasses: I chose Ray Bans because as you guys know, they are my favorite! I love the light colored reflection these ones give!
- Festive Sandals: I picked up these cuties right before my trip and I am so glad I did! They have another more colorful pair but as you guys know, I am all about my neutrals!
- Colorful Tassel Earrings: Since you will most likely be wearing white most of the trip, you’ll definitely want to pack a fun pair of colorful earrings with you to spice up your outfit and make you stand out even more!
- Straw Tote: Whether you’re going to the beach, the pool or out to brunch, this straw tote is the perfect accessory!
- Bride Once-Piece: Because it’s your Bachelorette and what other time will you wear cute high waisted one-piece that says, Bride? The answer is never. Double points for getting your girls matching bridesmaid ones!
- Personalized Hat: I love everything about this Bride-To-Be hat, it is seriously so cute and would be the perfect accessory for a beach bachelorette. If you’re worried you’ll never wear it again, think about passing it down to each of your friends as they get engaged! It would be the cutest tradition to start!
- Floating Flamingo Float Holders: Not necessary, but so stinking cute if you want to have something fun and match-y for each one of your girls!
- Bright Pink Lipstick: Just like with the earrings, since you’ll probably be wearing a lot of white, little things like bright lipstick will really make your whole outfit pop! This YSL one is my absolute favorite in the whole world.
- White Bikini: Hands down the most perfect bridal swimsuit I have ever seen. I mean, it screams Bachelorette! The first time I saw this swimsuit was back in January and the moment I saw it, I knew I wanted to wear it for my Bachelorette. It was out of stock everywhere for months and finally made a reappearance! Let’s just say, it’s definitely in my suitcase!
- Creative Sign: Wherever you go, make sure you bring some sort of fun, theme appropriate sign to hang in your hotel room or house if you are renting one! A few little festive pieces only will make the weekend that more fun!
Alrighty, well I am off to enjoy Cabo!
I’ll see you guys Monday!
xo,
Lauren
