September & October Tidbits

November 1st…. my oh my. The New Year is literally going to be here before we know it.

As I started putting together my October Tidbits, I realized I never did one for September, so I decided to just combine the two:)

SEPTEMBER

Sunday Brunch at Fig & Olive!

If you are looking for a new & bougie brunch place – then you have to try Fig & Olive. It’s at the Galleria, it is so cute, the food is amazing, great drinks and on Sunday’s – they have a live Jazz band!

September really started though when I went to New York for my second NYFW.

We decided to go early this year, to enjoy the city and have a few meetings before fashion week officially started!

That Sunday, I came home from Fashion Week with a sinus infection and no phone.

It wasn’t the best way to end the week – but it could have always been worse.

If you ever lose your phone or it gets stolen, you’ll want to read this post!

I went to the launch of Kendra Scott’s Charm Collection at The Dunlavy and meeting her was such a treat! I don’t normally fangirl (ok, that’s a lie) but it was so cool meeting her. Especially since I had no idea she was going to be there!

Kendra’s story and how she started her jewelry line is kind of incredible. I listened to her speak (she’s also an incredible public speaker) at the Reward Style Conference back in April and was just in awe.

That Thursday, on Colton’s actual Birthday, he was a doll and spent the evening with me at the Lafayette 148 Fall Fashion Show at Saks Fifth Avenue.

It was so much fun bringing him to an event and introducing him to so many of the girls.

I so badly wanted to make this happen but our schedule just isn’t working out this year.

Have over to Carve Pumpkins

In our defense…. we tried….and invited everyone over but had too much wine and never actually carved our pumpkins lol.

I’ll be doing this soon though!;)

Attend or Host a Friendsgiving

We did this last year and it was so fun but idk if it will happen this year! We are gone every week/weekend from not until Thanksgiving and I just don’t know if we will have time 🙁

Club Oliva

Me and my sweet friend Heather at the Taylor Swift Concert!

This night was actually probably one of the best nights of my life.

I LOVE Taylor Swift and have been listening to her before she was ever on iTunes or anything! She used to have all of her music on Youtube only and that’s how I would listen to it.

Then when she finally signed with a label, she was the very first opener for a small country radio concert here in Houston and was able to meet her!!!! I’d show you guys the pic but I wouldn’t want to do that to me or her lol…..

Anyways, I have been to every concert since and wanted to go to this one so badly but didn’t buy tickets in time and they were super expensive, so I just ruled out even trying to go.

Then the week of the concert, Taylor’s Team reached out (oh my god) and invited me to the concert. I was so excited and in such shock that I almost threw up and called my mom immediately after, shaking lol.

Long story short, the concert was amazing and we danced and sang harder than I ever have before!
