HAPPY FRIDAY!

I hope you all had a great week! I’m not sure if it’s boredom or if it’s the fact that everyday is pretty much the same these days but I feel like time is flying by. I’m not sure what it’s like where you live but things are really starting to open back up here in Houston. Restaurants, bars, salons, gyms, malls and etc. are all open as of this weekend (at 25% capacity) and it’s kind of weird..?  Like I’m happy things are slowly getting back to normal but I’m also just not fully comfortable with it all and still plan to continue play it safe for awhile. You know, just continue to stay away from crowded places, dine at home or pick up take out, avoid stores, keep washing our hands and practice social distancing.

As you guys saw, Tuesday was mine and Colton’s Two Year Wedding Anniversary and we celebrated it by spending the day at the beach in Galveston! While Galveston definitely isn’t my favorite place in the world, it felt so good to get out of the city and we really had such a great day! It’s funny because if it wasn’t for all of this Corona/Quarantine stuff going on, we mostly likely wouldn’t have chosen to spend the day Galveston… I probably would have tried to book a trip somewhere or plan something “better” but it’s times like these that really put things into perspective. Turns out a quick day trip to the beach, followed by pizza on the couch was all I could have asked for, if not more.

What are some other life updates to fill you in on…

Oh! As of today I am officially 35 weeks which means that Baby Boy is the size of a PINEAPPLE and according to my ultrasound last week, weighs a little over 5lbs. I haven’t shown y’all the ultrasound pics (bc I can’t tell if it’s weird to do that or not?)  but he has the cutest little cheeks and most plump little lips that I have ever seen. During our past ultrasounds (besides the 3D one we did) all the photos have been profile images that look like something that “could be a baby” but in this last one that we did, he was clear as day. We weren’t expecting it and both got very emotional! It’s just crazy to think that he will be here with us in just a few short weeks. We also decided to go ahead and put the plan back in place for my baby shower. Except this one will not be nearly as extravagant as my mom and best friend would have liked to have thrown and with only a quarter of the people. It will be super small with less than 15 friends/family and I’m honestly just thankful to get to have something. As much as I have oddly enjoyed this time in quarantine, I really feel like I have missed out on sharing my first pregnancy with my loved ones so I’m excited to just see them and celebrate baby boy before he gets here.

Lastly, to all of my non-pregnant readers who aren’t moms either… I know my content has been a little different recently. You guys may not be super interested in all the baby items/updates I’ve been sharing but this is just what’s going on in my life at the moment. I’ve tried my best to keep my content equally divided but I can’t help that my mind is in full blown “baby mode” as I prepare for his arrival. So for all of y’all that have stuck around and supported me during this phase, please know how much it means to me and how much I love y’all!
