What is the sale?
It’s essentially Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year. Unlike other sales, everything featured in this sale is brand new for next season. It’s a great opportunity to stock up on everything you’ll want for the fall/winter season and save before the prices go back up.
My Goal for the Sale
To be as realistic as possible and only show the items that you are 100% going to want and won’t be able to find else wear. I just really don’t want to overwhelm yall. I think that’s the one problem with the Nordstrom sale. It can be very overwhelming. Especially with every blogger on the planet sharing about it lol. So I just really want to only show ya’ll the items that I truly believe are the best within sale. Especially during Corona times. Things are hard and I get that. I would hate for ya’ll to spend money and not be 100% happy with your purchase.
Important Dates
The sale will open for everyone on August 19th but if you want to shop the sale early (before any items sell out) then you’ll want to sign up for a Nordstroms Credit Card ahead of time. I’ve had my card since 2014, so I’m on the “Influencer Level”, which basically means I’ve spent a lot of money there over the years (shocking lol) and get to shop early on Aug 10th. If you want to be able to shop ahead of time, then it’s not too late to sign up for a card. You can do so here. Personally, I only find this necessary if you are really wanting to snag a hot item that you know will sell out fast. Ex: The infamous Barefoot Dreams Blanket
SHOPPING ADVICE
- Go for items you know you’ll want this fall season and the items that never go on sale, except for during this sale. Like the Volupus candles, barefoot dream blankets, beauty devices and etc.
- Think about everything you already have, cross those off your list, and then narrow down what you actually need. For example – if you already have a leather jacket, then there is no reason to even give those the time of day. If your heart falls on this teddy coat though and you remember that you really wish you had one last season, then go for it!
- I would also look at everything and decide what you could get somewhere else for cheaper. For example, this sweater really is super nice but I can guarantee you that Old Navy will have something just as nice for $15 all season. Ya, feel me?
- If you’re shopping online (highly suggest) go ahead and make a wish list of everything you want on the Nordstrom’s website. That way, on the day of the sale, all you have to do is add it to your cart.
- Lastly, shop through my picks! I have all my favorites saved above under the NSALE tab, I’ll be sharing a ton of collages on the Liketoknow.it app and I’ll be updating blog posts for it as well.
