Here’s the deal
This drink is real extreme, like spicy to the max. It also just happens to be the first thing I put in my body every single morning. You have probably seen this drink on Snapchat a lot. Every morning, I wake up, make my drink, and then I drink it while getting ready for work. Sometimes I will make it a few times a day, especially when I’m feeling bloated. It’s THE BEST for bloating.
It’s weird & dramatically spicy. Spicy as in, sometimes I have to cough because this drink is so extreme. But I love love love it.
I especially love all of the amazing things it does for my my body, inside & out.
The ingredients kick start the heck out of your metabolism & alkalizes your body. It more than helps with any digestive issues you may have (if you know what I mean 😉 ), it gives you energy, helps keep blood pressure stay stable, promotes detox support, it’s a fat burner & an antioxidant. It literally is a miracle drink. I truly swear by it, so basically, it wouldn’t be fair of me not to share!
I originally got this recipe from my girl, Lauryn Evarts (yes I creepily think we’re friends) of The Skinny Confidential <—– She is literally amazing.
Here are the deets.
Ingredients
Water
Apple Cider Vinegar (Make sure you get the kind with “The Mother”)
Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice (I buy the fresh squeezed from Whole Foods because I am too lazy to squeeze it on my own)
Cayenne
Turmeric
Fresh Mint Leaves
Directions
So this is what you do. Basically, get the biggest cup you can find (I use an extra large mason jar), fill it with ice, then fill it almost all the way up with water. Just make sure you leave a little room at the top. Then add a few TBS of apple cider vinegar and about half of a grape fruits worth of juice into the drink. Then add lots & I mean lots of Turmeric & Cayenne. Top with Mint Leaves. I drink it with a straw because I can smash the mint leaves to the bottom, plus it’s just easier to drink it that way.
To be honest, I’m probably chugging it down as you read this. Cheers!
xo,
Lauren
This sounds amazing. Trying it this week. Is it possible me to put too much of either tumeric or cayenne?
Hi love! Technically no, but your taste buds could disagree – lol! Just be conscious of how hot and spicy you like things! Because too much of the two could be really intense.
