Good Morning & Happy Monday Guys!
My goodness it feels so good to be back! As you guys probably noticed, my blogging schedule this last week was definitely a little off! Between being out of town for the Fourth of July and then immediately leaving to go out of town to St. Louis for our friends wedding, I definitely got behind. Forgive me?:) Love ya’ll!
Speaking of St. Louis, Holy Moly we had such good time! The Bride, who lives in Houston now, is originally from St. Louis, which is why the wedding was held there! Colton and I are ridiculously close to the couple, so going to St. Louis and seeing her city, as well as being there, to see them finally get married, just made us so joyous all weekend long. I mean we love the Bride & Groom. Actually, funny story on how the couple met! The Groom (Alex) is one of Colton’s best friends from hockey and for their high school graduation present, Colton’s parents took the boys to Cancun. Well the very first day they were there, the boys were on the beach, where they ran into and met the bride (Heather). Basically, the rest was history from there! I mean, who goes to Mexico when they’re 18 and meets the love of their life?? Ah, I love it!! The wedding was beautiful and I cried like a baby.
When I started looking for a dress to wear to the wedding, I knew I wanted to wear something awesome, but I wasn’t exactly wanting to pay a large price tag. Because we are so close to the couple, I knew we would look back on these pictures for life, which is why I really wanted to love my dress, but like I said, I really didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for it. When I started building this Best Dressed Guest for you guys a few weeks ago, I found this dress and immediately fell in love with it. I loved the color, the cut and holy guacamole the train on it is everything. The best part? I rented it for $43.
This is the third time this year I have used Rent The Runway for an occasion and I have been so blown away by them every time. Also, just to note, this post is totally not sponsored!! I have just had amazing experiences using them. You can check out my winter wedding guest dress here. The dresses are so nice and I love that there are so many reviews for each dress, from girls who had ordered the same one in the past. I also love that they send you two sizes. We’re at that age where it seems like we are at a wedding every other weekend and I honestly can’t afford to buy a new dress for each one. Basically, Rent The Runway has definitely become my new best friend!
So, if you are like us and are turning into professional wedding guests, then I highly suggest trying Rent The Runway, and I particularly suggest renting this dress because WOWZA.
Have a great rest of your Monday!
xo,
Lauren
