Hi Guys!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I took what I like to think of, as a very nice social media break. I’ve talked about this a lot this since the new year, but it’s just so incredibly necessary to step away from your phone every once in awhile! At one point over the weekend, my best friend, who just moved to Austin, texted me on Saturday and was like “Why are you neglecting me!“, lol and the truth is, I wasn’t neglecting her, I was just neglecting my phone in general.
Even though I didn’t share it, we really did have a nice weekend! Friday we had sushi and dinner with sweet friends before the Astros Diamond Dreams Party. Saturday we took it super easy, had a mini date night and watched movies at home and then Sunday I woke up and went for a run, we did a few errands and cleaned little bit. We had friends over that afternoon, made dinner with them and watched the SAG Awards! All around it was a really nice weekend and it felt wonderful not worrying about having to get an Instagram out and just being in the moment.
I’m not going to lie though, Saturday I was dying of a hangover. Like the worst hangover I have ever had in my entire life. I’ve just decided that I cannot stay out and drink like I once could have. It’s not worth it to me to feel terrible the next day. I’d rather spend my Saturday getting up early, hitting a spin class and grabbing breakfast with Colton, as opposed to nursing a hangover all day.
Anybody else?
Anyways, as you guys saw last week, I dying for warmer weather and since we are expecting a few more weeks of chilly weather here in Houston, I have been wearing a lot of winter white to get my spring fix! This look is the perfect daytime look for this transitional season! I love all of the neutrals, paired with this light weight Burberry scarf, which is the perfect transitional piece for both fall and spring! Then this specific coat is really old, but I found this one from Loft that is absolutely identical and is currently 50% off right now.
These white jeans are not originally cuffed, but a secret of mine is that I always cuff my white jeans! All of my petite girls out there, this tip is for you! As we all know, white jeans can be a tricky situation and can tend to be less than flattering. Like it’s really hard to find a pair that you love, but I have found that whenever I cuff the bottom of my white jeans, it elongates my legs and makes the pants look more flattering! I swear it works!
Next time you’re trying on white jeans, try this trick and then let me know!
Have a great week babes!
xo,
Lauren

On the JC’s, would you recommend the leather or patent? I want leather and feel like it would last longer than patent because it’d be easier to scuff. Advice?
Hey cutie!
Nude Patent all the way!! I know what you mean about the leather probably lasting longer but my goodness is the Nude Patent a prettier shoe. I actually bought the leather online first and was super unhappy with them, so I brought them back and exchanged for the Nude Patent <3
