bonobos striped top // bonobos shorts
Alright, ladies, this one is for all of the men out there, but don’t leave quite yet because I think this is a post that you just might like too.
One of the questions that I get asked more frequently then you would think, pertains to Colton and his style. The questions go something like, “How did you get Colton to start dressing so well?? Has he always had style? Is this a new thing? How do I get my bf/fiancé/husband to start dressing better??” and to answer all of these questions, the simple answer is… No, Colton has not always dressed as well as he does now. When we first met, he wore the same green Baylor sweatshirt I swear for a year lol! Starting with our first Christmas together, I would buy him a piece of clothing here and there, then after a while, he just started to really get into it. By the time we graduated from college, he had more of an idea of what his style was but still didn’t feel confident in knowing what to buy, where to buy or even what size to buy, until he started shopping at Bonobos.
If you have been reading this blog for a while now, then you know that Bonobos is not a stranger in our home. I have been raving about them since I started blogging back in 2015 and have written a ton of posts just on them so many times too! We first found out about Bonobos when Colton was looking for work pants, right before starting his first job and they instantly became his favorite. He had never found a brand, where he could fully customize the sizing of the clothing, to perfectly fit him the way that he wanted them to prior to discovering the brand!
From then on, the Bonobos obsession was born lol and not just with Colton, but with all the men in my family! From my Dad to my Step-Dad, to Colton’s Dad and his Papo, they are all on board with Bonobos.
ABOUT THE LOOK
I absolutely love his new colorful striped button down from Bonobos New Spring Collection! It’s seriously perfect for the spring/summer time and the photos honestly don’t do it justice because the colors are so vibrant and fun in real life!
It’s from a special limited edition Riviera Short Sleeve Shirt Line, which was curated to celebrate Women’s History Month and the best part about this line is that every time one of the shirts from this line are purchased, from now until April 30th, Bonobos will donate 40% of its proceeds to Promundo, which is a charitable organization that works to promote gender equality.
How cool is that?!
Just a fun little tidbit I thought I’d share with you!:)
Anywho! If you’re looking to spruce up your man’s wardrobe this spring season or if you’re a guy wanting to spruce up your own wardrobe, I picked out some more of my favorites from their spring collection below!!
Oh, and for everyone who is still confused on Bonobos and how their custom sizing works, I thought I would make it easy for you all and break it down in a visual way!
You can find that below as well!:)

BONOBOS SIZING EXAMPLE
We’ll take Colton’s top from today’s post for example!
On the right-hand side of the photo above, you’ll see all of the sizing information! First things first, you’ll want to pick the shirt size you’re looking for. Next, you’ll want to choose what type of fit you want the shirt to be and then last but not least pick the shirts length! Colton, for example, gets a medium and since he likes his shirts to have a more fitted look, he’ll pick the ‘slim’ as his fit of choice and then ‘reg’ for his length. Then on the opposite side of the spectrum, take both of our Dads for example. While they would both get an ‘XL’, Colton’s Dad is 6’4 and my Dad is 5’10… So Colton’s Dad would want to make sure his shirt length is set to ‘long’ so that it properly fits his longer frame, whereas my Dad would pick the ‘short’ option!
See…Easy Peasy!
If you guys have any questions in regards to Bonobos, please let me know!

Lauren
