Happy Friday Babes!

Today is the first day of summer and in honor of it officially being the sweet, sweet summertime – I wanted to get this reading list out to you all! If you haven’t seen last years 2018 Summer Reading List, then I highly recommend checking it out before this one! Only because a few of these are the sequels to last years books!

Thank you so much to everyone who sent in their summer book recommendations though!!! There were so many great suggestions that it was definitely hard to narrow down the list, but I think I have the best of the best for you!

Also, please note that these are not listed in any particular order, so I would be sure to read the descriptions of each one first!

SUMMER READING LIST 2019

SHOP BOOKS

(1) Where The CrawDads Sing: The Top Recommended Book by all of you!! Literally, I have never had so many people recommend one book to me in my life and was the top book on Reese Witherspoon’s book club list as well.

(2) The Young Wives Club: Perfect for the girl who loved The Divine Secrets of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood. In Toulouse, Louisiana, marrying your Highschool Sweetheart is a pretty common thing and if you’re lucky, he might be the man you thought he was….but as four friends are about to find out, not every girl has luck on her side

(3) The Mister: The newest release by E L James (the author of Fifty Shades of Grey). Less handcuffs though (lol) and instead a lot of deep romance.

(4) Love Does: According to my friend Heather, who really helped me with this list, “Love Does changed her life” – It’s supposed to be light and fun, unique and profound. The lessons drawn from the main characters life and attitude might just inspire you to be secretly incredible, too.

(5) The Last Mrs. Parrish: Another one of the top recommended books from you guys! “Filled with envy, deception, and power, it’s a great reading escape. And there is a thrilling twist at the end!!” —Reese Witherspoon.

(6) Marriage Vacation: This was recommended to me at the end of last summer by so many! Perfect for the person who has ever fantasized about running away from it all. From the outside looking in, you would think that Kate Carmichael had it all but after attending a friends wedding and running into a few successful friends from Graduate School, instead of heading home to her husband and family at the end of the wedding weekend, Kate gets on a plane and flies halfway around the world

(7) China Rich Girlfriend: Book Two of the Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy. I read Crazy Rish Asians last summer before the movie came out and literally could not put the book down…. so I suspect this one to be the same!

(8) Summer of 69′: A #1 New Release for the summer! An engrossing tale of an iconic American summer where four siblings experience the drama, intrigue, and upheaval that changes everything.

(9) The Mother-In-Law:  Families – there is the one you are born into, the one you marry into and the one you choose. The Mother in Law is a twisty, compelling novel about one woman’s complicated relationship with her mother-in-law that ends in murder…this book is literally on every “Top Reading List” for the summer!

(10) All We Ever Wanted: If you liked Emily Giffin’s “Something Borrowed” and “First Comes Love” then you are bound to fall in love with this book as well! It came highly recommended as a perfect summer read.

(11) The Weekenders: Coined as one of the must-have books to keep in your beach bag this summer! It’s fun and frothy…Think sun, sand, romance, drama, and small beach town life with a fine sheen of witty commentary.

(12) Meet Cute:  You know what they say, “No one ever means to fall in love”…. “Meet Cute” would definitely be classified as a  ‘rom-com in a book form. It’s entertaining, funny and emotional all at the same time. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll definitely fall in love.

(13) The Light We Lost: This book is a love story of life and loss and the choices we make in between. Came highly recommend by a few of you and one of my best friends as well!

(14) Girl Stop Apologizing: If you loved, “Girl, Wash Your Face” then you will love “Girl, Stop Apologizing.

(15) The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: The story of an old Hollywood actress who at the age of 79 decides to tell the story of her life… particularly the stories of her past lovers and 7 husbands.

(16) Luckiest Girl Alive: Very similar to “Girl on a Train” and “Gone Girl”, so if you loved either of those, then you will love this one as well!

Happy Reading Babes!

xo,

Lauren
