Welcome Back!
Last week (after multiple last minute date changes due to covid) we were finally able to celebrate Colton’s 30th Birthday !!
‘Fun’ doesn’t even begin to describe our evening. It was truly a blast and could not recommend it more for a birthday dinner I talk about it more below but we hired Hibachi Houston (formerly Let’s Hibachi) for the private dinner and all the designing/decor was done by me!! I tried to link and cover everything below but as always, if you have any specific questions, leave a comment at the end!

The theme for his party was heavily British Colonial influenced and a lot of my decor inspo came from Le Colonial. I’ve always been obsessed with their decor in the restaurant and used it as my base!
HIBACHI HOUSTON
Dinner for the evening was brought to you by Hibachi Houston (formerly ‘Let’s Hibachi‘) and they were so incredibly over the top amazing. I could not recommend them enough.
Hibachi Houston specializes in bringing the complete hibachi experience to your home. I’m talking, a top-of-the-line, experienced Japanese chef, interactive entertainment throughout the entire dinner and the most amazing food. Each guest has the option to pick 2 proteins to go with their meal (steak, chicken, spring or scallops) and a traditional salad is served on the side.
They provide all of the the food/cooking materials and even have the option to set up the dinner table for you !!
We had a 7:00pm dinner slot, our chef was Chef Leo and he was INCREDIBLE. I mean, so fun and so professional !! He had sake for us, convinced a few people to come up to the stove and attempt to catch an egg in the chefs hat. He had us catching chicken fried rice in our mouths from across the table and even got my father-in-law to chug sake from a water gun lol. It was hysterical and truly the best evening.
I cannot recommend them enough!

EVERYTHING WE RENTED
One of the best tips I learned from my MOH while we were planning my Bridal Shower was ‘renting party supplies’. She worked for a high end party planner at the time, so of course this was a normal route for her but for me, it was something I had never really thought of. I knew that these things were rented for weddings, large events and what not but I didn’t know the average person could do the same for their backyard dinner. Then even if they could, figured it would cost a fortune! Luckily, I was completely wrong. Everything from gorgeous garden chairs for $3/piece, linen napkins for $.70, glassware for $2 and more. Taking your party to that ‘next level’ without having to purchase a ton of items you may only use once.
We used rental services for both my Bridal Shower, Teddy’s First Birthday and now Colton’s 30th Birthday as well. The party was postponed so many times that I ended up buying more than I should and wish that I would have rented more !! Idk what I was thinking.
HOUSTON PARTY RENTAL SUPPLIERS
Peerless Events & Tents
(Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio)
Absolutely gorgeous selection and located throughout Texas. They are located centrally in Houston (near the heights) and have the option to deliver but I usually just go to their warehouse and pick the items up myself.
What we rented: Garden Chairs, Navy Linen Napkins, Glassware, Vintage China Dinner Plates
A Finer Event Part – Houston Rentals
This was my first time using A Finer Events and I was so impressed. After running around Houston and looking online for the perfect rattan chargers, I finally found what I was looking for thanks to them. Their selection is STUNNING and so ahead of the curve. The prices were great and their turnaround was impeccable. Located near the heights as well!
What we rented: Wicker Dinner Plate Chargers. This was a last minute order so we pretty much had everything we needed by this time but their selection really is stunning.
Once again, if you have any other questions in regards to the party, just leave a comment in the section below!!
Also for more insight to the party, I have a whole highlights section saved to my Instagram covering the whole evening.

Lauren
